The Community Development Department is organized across four divisions: Current Planning, Advance Planning, Building, and Economic Development and Housing. The Department is supported by a team of 23 FTE with a FY 2023-24 budget of $8.7 million.
The position may be filled at either the Building Maintenance Technician I ($25.5464 - $34.2345 per hour) or at Building Maintenance Technician II ($28.2260 - $37.8255 per hour), based on candidate qualifications and experience.

The City of Foster City is looking for a Building Maintenance Worker I who is able to perform semi-skilled maintenance and repair work on municipal buildings, facilities, and equipment in the Building Maintenance Division. This position performs routine and standardized tasks and duties such as plumbing, carpentry, painting and electrical activities.
