The Mayor’s Gang Prevention Task Force (MGPTF) is the City of San José’s Youth Violence Reduction Strategy which operates within PRNS department of the City of San José. Over the past 25 years, the MGPTF has strategically worked to address issues of gang involvement among youth and young adults in an effort to reduce youth violence associated with gangs.

Under supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Worker I performs entry level unskilled, semi-skilled, or skilled labor in construction, maintenance, and related service activities applied to the areas of general landscaping, grounds maintenance and street maintenance.
TYPICAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general direction, perform a wide range of field and office duties to support and/or accomplish the goals and objectives of the Community and Economic Development Department. This positions works less than 950 hours per year and on average, works less than 20 hours on average per week.
