THE POSITION:  The City of San Mateo’s Community Development Department has an opportunity for an intern to work on a number of projects. The Department of Public Works is currently recruiting to fill a Communications Technician position for the Radio Communications Shop. The City of Berkeley is seeking a Housing Development Specialist (Community Development Project Coordinator)! Work hours will be Monday – Friday, 25-30 hours per week during the 12 weeks of employment.  The pay rate will be $20 per hour.  All interns will be required to successfully complete a Department of Justice fingerprint clearance and undergo a TB test as a condition of employment.

*Computerized Testing Process

1. Testing is conducted by National Testing Network (NTN). NTN will provide the City with your test results so that we may invite you to the next steps in the Recruitment Process.
2. To register and schedule a test, go to www.nationaltestingnetwork.com, select ‘Find Jobs’, then select Emergency Communications Jobs, and sign up for the Simi Valley Police Department.

When you visit the www.nationaltestingnetwork.com website, complete the NTN registration process and schedule your test and review detailed information about the testing process and Frequently Asked Questions. Testing can be done virtually or in-person at a facility. 

A fee is required to take the written exam. Candidates with demonstrated financial hardship may submit a request to have the fee waived prior to test registration. See Candidate FAQ #26 at https://www.nationaltestingnetwork.com/publicsafetyjobs/faqs.cfm for more information.
