Under general supervision, learns to perform and performs the full array of duties assigned to classes in the Public Services Maintenance Worker series including maintenance, construction and equipment operation work in one or more Public Services divisions; occasionally assists in the training of lower level Public Services Maintenance Workers; performs other related duties as required.
Public Services Maintenance Worker I
Yuba County is currently recruiting for the position of Permit Technician in the Community Development and Services Agency. The incumbent, under general supervision will provide responsible and technical front counter and office support, answering questions related to permit and building inspection activities; provide advice and assistance to applicants; receive and review building permit applications, issue permits and perform related work as assigned. This position coordinates with the Senior Permit Technician and reports directly to Supervising Building Official.
To perform a variety of semi-skilled and routine electrical construction, maintenance, repair and testing work.
