The City of Lincoln is accepting applications for a Seasonal Maintenance Worker I in the Solid Waste Division of the Public Works Department.
This position is limited to 999 hours per fiscal year and is unbenefited. This position may become a regular/full-time position, dependent upon the future needs of the department.
Under general supervision, the incumbent learns to, and performs the full array of duties assigned to classes in the Maintenance Worker series including maintenance, construction and equipment operation work and performs other related duties as required.

Under the direct supervision of the Aquatics Supervisor and the Aquatics Coordinator, the Pool Manager provides supervision of pool activities, pool staff, American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Program, and assigns work schedules to staff. Some evening and weekend hours are required. Training, pre-season preparation and post-season evaluations require additional time. Mandatory pre-season manager training and all staff in-service training sessions will be held prior to the season beginning.

The Crossing Guard position is a temporary position, approximately five hours per day, two (2) hours in the morning and three (2) hours in the afternoon, Monday through Friday. Crossing Guards work a school year (September through June). Applicants must be able to work outdoors, have reliable transportation or ability to report to assignment consistently.
