The City of Salinas Community Development Department is seeking a temporary Administrative Aide to join their planning team. This position will perform duties that relate to community outreach, engagement, and administration for the Alisal Vibrancy Plan. The Alisal Vibrancy Plan is the result of the community’s desire during the drafting of the Economic Development Element to see a coordinated planning effort addressing challenges in the Alisal/East Salinas neighborhoods.

SALARY: $10.93, $11.48, $12.05, $12.65, $13.29 Hourly
DEFINITION: Under direct supervision, performs a wide variety of general office duties in the Salinas Animal Shelter, including providing information to the public on policies and procedures.
NOTE: Hours will vary, but a typical schedule is Monday – Saturday 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Weekends and holidays may be required depending on program and location.

Note: This temporary assignment may be expected to work a varied schedule, possibly 4-5 hours per day, four days a week to include weekends and holidays. A possible schedule for the current vacancy is the following: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m.
