The City is seeking an experienced Community Relations Manager with outstanding interpersonal and analytical skills, political savvy and a willingness to work cooperatively and collaboratively with the media, elected officials, community leaders and other governmental agencies. The ideal candidate is a high-functioning, productive self-starter that possesses strong written and verbal communication skills and exercises independent judgment. Spanish bilingual skills are highly desirable.
NOTE: This recruitment will be used to establish an eligibility list for current and future vacancies. Successful candidates must be willing to work a shift schedule, which includes days, nights, weekends and holidays. Shift assignments are determined by seniority. Any prospective candidate will need to pass a thorough background investigation and polygraph examination before being hired by the Salinas Police Department.
