The level at which an individual is hired will be dependent on the applicant's qualifications and work experience. Under general supervision on an assigned shift; performs a variety of law enforcement and modern crime prevention work; controls traffic flow; patrols an assigned area for the prevention of crime and enforcement of federal, state and local laws and regulations, and arrests violators as necessary; performs investigative work; and other related law enforcement work as required.
