The City is currently seeking an Associate or Senior Civil Engineer (based on experience and qualifications) who will perform advanced technical and professional engineering tasks. Areas of assignment will include: budget preparation and analysis, project planning, analysis, design, management and administration; plan checking, special studies and report preparation for various public works and utility construction projects, write and administer development agreements, perform complex calculations, and administer construction and professional service contracts.
Performs skilled technical work in the design, installation, testing, calibration, maintenance and repair of process control, telemetry, and data acquisition systems and subsystems used in the wastewater treatment plant and water production and distribution facilities. The Instrumentation Technician ensures that the components of the City’s different process control, telemetry and data acquisition systems are properly programmed and operational.
The City is currently seeking a Senior Electric Engineering Technician who will be responsible for performing a wide range of sub-professional engineering and administrative duties including: planning, engineering design, project review, budgeting and management, labor and material estimates and complex phases of construction cost estimating. The incumbent has lead responsibility in planning, design and review of special and major development projects and has responsibility for the development and implementation of design and construction standards.
SMART is a voter approved passenger rail project located in Marin and Sonoma counties in Northern California. We began revenue service in August 2017 and were the first new railroad in the country to begin service with Positive Train Control installed.
