The ASD is looking to fill the Administrative Officer (AO) position. The position reports directly to the Administrative Services Division Manager and manages the department’s Budget and Funds Management, and Contracts and RFP/Qs sections. The AO has direct supervision of two Senior Analysts and indirect oversight for an additional seven staff.
The position requires an individual who can provide a high level of leadership, vision and strategic planning in the management of the Environmental Services Department operating and capital budgets, as well as the management of the Contracts and RFP/Q section and processes. The AO is the central point of contact and is responsible for all budget-related needs of the Department. The AO has considerable contact with staff in the City Manager's Budget Office, City Attorney’s Office, and other City departments. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, strategic thinking ability, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and issues.
The ideal candidate will also have budget experience, experience effectively working in cross-functional/cross-departmental teams and will be able to quickly assume a leadership role in the 2020-21 Proposed Budget process.
