The Dixon Police Department is opening two positions for a Police Recruit to attend the Police Academy in July of 2024. The “Police Recruit” classification at the City of Dixon Police Department provides a unique opportunity for candidates to be sponsored through a P.O.S.T. certified basic academy during regular academy hours and any other scheduled departmental and academy exercise and activities. Upon successfully completing the academy, Police Recruits shall be advanced to Police Officers and immediately begin the field training program to prepare them to function as solo officers.

This position is focused on coordinating and monitoring information technology operational systems for the City including analyzing, diagnosing, maintaining, and troubleshooting assigned system areas such as applications, operating systems, and database systems. *$97,208.92 - $124,065.91 Advertised salary range includes 17.5% of Incentive Pay. Employees may be eligible for incentive pay as follows:

POST Intermediate Certificate: 2.5% of base salary

POST Advanced Certificate: 2.5% of base salary
And/or
Completion of 60 college semester units or AA/AS degree: 2.5%
And/or
Completion of 120 college semester units or BA/BS degree: 2.5%
Bilingual Pay: 2.5% of base salary
