The Unit has the responsibility for administering the Airport's network & telecom infrastructure, outside plant infrastructure, data centers, application services, Helpdesk, desktop support, website services, business process improvement initiatives, and the project management office (PMO). Along with these services, the Airport Technology Services Department team also provides services to the airlines, City staff, and tenants.

The SAP I will provide applications systems solutions and support for users at SJC and will be responsible for:
• Providing programming / technical level support for the Airport's intranet, built on SharePoint Online (SPO).
• Providing technical level support to implement BPA (Business Process Automation) tools on SPO. This includes providing SimpliGov, WorkFlow, Power Automate, MS Teams, and other similar No-Code / Low-Code technology solutions.
• Implementing and deploying new applications releases - such as Bentley Projectwise Document Management System and Airport ERP (i.e. Propworks). These are systems that have been purchased by the Airport and currently run on-premise. Airport IT provides platform support and Level 1 applications support for these systems. On-going systems enhancements and level 2 support (and beyond) are provided by the application vendors.
• Maintaining and enhancing Airport applications using tools including SQL server, Microsoft Visual Studio, and similar applications development tools.
• Development, deployment, and support of Airport specific tools and applications tools as appropriate to improve Airport business processes and procedures.

In addition to the citywide SAP skills requirements, the following technical skills will be essential:

Salary range for this classification is: $81,790.80 - $99,437.52

This salary range(s) includes an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation. Actual salary shall be determined by the final candidates' qualifications and experience.

The City of San José, Office of the City Attorney is seeking an entry-level attorney in the Transactional division. Under the direction and supervision of senior management in the Office of the City Attorney, the Associate Deputy City Attorney position will perform basic attorney work benefiting a variety of City Departments while receiving valuable training and experience for a career in public service. This position will be assigned increasingly complex legal work under supervision in support of various City Departments in areas including public works, procurements, employment, land use planning, environmental services, public safety, utilities and housing. Responsibilities also include preparing opinions, ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and other legal documents.

About the Highway Program Deputy Director

The Highway Program Deputy Director, reporting to the Chief of Engineering and Program Delivery, manages a diverse and talented team of seasoned staff who is well-versed on the delivery of capital projects related to the State highway system and other roadways in the county. This position is responsible for directing and leading collaboration on planning, design development (including technical analysis in support of preliminary engineering and final design), project-related right-of-way activities (in coordination with VTA Real Estate), construction management and close out, overall program/project management (including scopes, costs, schedules and quality of work), management of staff resources (both VTA and consultant), coordination with project stakeholders within VTA and beyond (e.g., local agencies, Caltrans, federal agencies, resources agencies, utilities, etc.), and community and other outreach (working with VTA public information and government affairs staff).

The Department of Public Works is currently recruiting to fill a Communications Technician position for the Radio Communications Shop. The Radio Communications shop maintains the communication system for the City of San José that is used by multiple departments, such as: Police, Fire, Department of Transportation, Parks Recreation Neighborhood Services (Park Rangers), and Public Works (Animal Care & Services).

The City of San José public safety and city services depend upon the use of commercial radio communications equipment. For police officers and firefighters, radio communications are the primary means of communicating with the 9-1-1 dispatch center in performing their duties. These vast stand-alone radio systems with fault-tolerant designs are essential to providing the public with reliable emergency response services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with demand for system survivability through any catastrophic event.

The key responsibilities of the Communications Technician may include:

• Installation, maintenance and repair of mobile and portable radios, base and control stations, microwave systems, dispatch consoles, voting receivers and comparators, digital Microwave system and P25 LMR systems.
• Respond to trouble reports, perform preventative maintenance and project assignments. Update technical documentation including wiring block assignments, CEB programming and configurations, as-built drawings of installed equipment at City radio sites, specialized vehicular installations, and diagrams of the City's various communications systems.
• Provide recommendations for process improvement changes with the input of technical staff.
• Construct and/or modify communications equipment and perform research on new equipment.

Reporting directly to the City's Chief Procurement Officer, the Program Manager will work both independently and collaboratively, and will exhibit cross-functional expertise in procurement, contracting and information technology. The Program Manager will have five (5) direct reports (Senior Analysts) and five (5) indirect reports (4 Analysts and 1 Buyer) and will provide leadership, development, and mentorship for the reports. The essential job duties of this Program Manager position include:

• Plan, direct, and manage multiple procurement and contracting services for City departments.
• Lead all major Information Technology (IT) procurements.
• Work closely with the IT Department and City Departments on purchasing, contracting, and ongoing vendor management for all enterprise systems, including Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), payroll, online permitting, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, mobile data computers for the Police Department, and all network upgrades.
• Analyze, negotiate, and maintain the City's IT software licensing agreements.
• Provide guidance and assistance to City staff with developing scope of work and specifications for IT procurements.
• Evaluate procurement requests by City staff and advice on the appropriate procurement vehicles.
• Oversee preparation and issuance of documentation required for competitive solicitations including but not limited to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs).
• Negotiate, prepare, and write complex contracts; negotiate and review contract amendments and change orders.
• Provide leadership, direction, and assistance to City departments on procurement and contract negotiation activities.
• Write and present action memoranda to the City Council and City Council Committees.
• Provide procurement-related training to City staff.
• Represent the Finance Department on cross department projects and meetings.
