The City of Albany is currently looking for a part-time (15-25 hours per week) Recreation Projects Assistant to assist the Recreation & Community Services Department with a variety of programs and events.
Typical Job Duties
Keep social media sites and websites current and engaging
Coordinate and solicit volunteers for events and programs
Work with staff to coordinate special event marketing and logistics
Assist with front desk operations
Other duties as assigned

The Recreation Aide I is the entry level class and is responsible for performing less complex assignments within an established procedural framework where there are minimal consequences of error. This classification is distinguished from the next higher classification of Recreation Coordinator by the performance of more routine, repetitive and less complex assignments. Receives immediate supervision from administrative and/or management staff. Incumbents of this class do not routinely exercise supervision.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT AND THE POSITION
Under direct supervision, the Public Service Assistant II will perform litter/trash pick-up, barbeque maintenance, leaf/debris pick-up, and miscellaneous park duties in Central Park and other community parks. The Public Service Assistant II will also perform related duties as assigned.
