The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Evidence Technician within the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department. Under general supervision, this incumbent performs technical work related to the collection, processing, analysis, preservation and disposition of crime scene evidence and other types of property; performs related work as assigned.
Examples of Duties:
This position performs a variety of work in the monitoring of county, state and federal detainees and maintains the security and safety of inmates and staff.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
This position will perform a variety of responsible law enforcement and crime prevention work, including patrolling assigned areas, answering calls and complaints, investigating crimes, serving civil papers, and providing court room security; enforce all federal and state laws and local ordinances related to public safety and welfare.

Under general supervision of the Senior Public Safety Dispatcher, processes emergency and non-emergency calls for service; dispatches police, fire, medical, rescue, animal control or other emergency equipment, by telephone or radio, utilizing complex technical aids, such as computer aided dispatch systems (CAD); and performs related work as required.
