For more information about SJC, visit http://www.flysanjose.com .San José Mineta International Airport (SJC) is seeking to fill a Systems Applications Programmer I position for the Application & End User Support Team in the Airport Technology Services Unit. The Unit has the responsibility for administering the Airport's network & telecom infrastructure, outside plant infrastructure, data centers, application services, Helpdesk, desktop support, website services, business process improvement initiatives, and the project management office (PMO). Along with these services, the Airport Technology Services Department team also provides services to the airlines, City staff, and tenants.

The SAP I will provide applications systems solutions and support for users at SJC and will be responsible for:
• Providing programming / technical level support for the Airport's intranet, built on SharePoint Online (SPO).
• Providing technical level support to implement BPA (Business Process Automation) tools on SPO. This includes providing SimpliGov, WorkFlow, Power Automate, MS Teams, and other similar No-Code / Low-Code technology solutions.
• Implementing and deploying new applications releases - such as Bentley Projectwise Document Management System and Airport ERP (i.e. Propworks). These are systems that have been purchased by the Airport and currently run on-premise. Airport IT provides platform support and Level 1 applications support for these systems. On-going systems enhancements and level 2 support (and beyond) are provided by the application vendors.
• Maintaining and enhancing Airport applications using tools including SQL server, Microsoft Visual Studio, and similar applications development tools.
• Development, deployment, and support of Airport specific tools and applications tools as appropriate to improve Airport business processes and procedures.

In addition to the citywide SAP skills requirements, the following technical skills will be essential:
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Oracle SQL Plus/SQL Developer

• SharePoint, SPO

This is the first level in the Systems Applications Programmer Series and incumbents are expected to be able to perform all normal programming functions related to standard jobs not involving unusual applications. Incumbents receive routine analytic assignments as well as straightforward programming work.

Salary range for this classification is: $81,790.80 - $99,437.52

This salary range(s) includes an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation. Actual salary shall be determined by the final candidates' qualifications and experience.

We are looking for a talented and experienced professional to be an Executive Assistant to support the City Manager and Assistant City Manager.  We are seeking a candidate with experience supporting high-level executives within an organization. Someone with the ability to act on the behalf of multiple executives, handling communication, scheduling, and other administrative tasks in support of operations in the Office of the City Manager. The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the  flexibly staffed position of Elections Clerk I-II in the Elections Division within the Clerk-Recorder’s Office for both Extra Help and Full Time positions. This position reports directly to the Registrar of Voters Manager. This class is flexibly staffed, and incumbents may advance to the II-level after gaining experience, demonstrating proficiency, and meeting the qualifications. Initially under close supervision, incumbents learn state and federal laws, rules and regulations related to conducting elections as well as County policies and procedures. As experience is gained, assignments become more complex and are performed under more general supervision. Incumbent to this position will assist in conducting elections; process voter registration; maintain voter registration database; review and accept election filings; coordinate poll workers and polling facilities; proof printed, audio and electronic election materials; track, prepare and test electronic voting equipment; and perform other duties as assigned.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

• Perform general and specialized clerical duties related to assigned functional area.
• Process and verify a variety of documents including general and legal correspondence, memos and statistical data.

About the Highway Program Deputy Director

The Highway Program Deputy Director, reporting to the Chief of Engineering and Program Delivery, manages a diverse and talented team of seasoned staff who is well-versed on the delivery of capital projects related to the State highway system and other roadways in the county. This position is responsible for directing and leading collaboration on planning, design development (including technical analysis in support of preliminary engineering and final design), project-related right-of-way activities (in coordination with VTA Real Estate), construction management and close out, overall program/project management (including scopes, costs, schedules and quality of work), management of staff resources (both VTA and consultant), coordination with project stakeholders within VTA and beyond (e.g., local agencies, Caltrans, federal agencies, resources agencies, utilities, etc.), and community and other outreach (working with VTA public information and government affairs staff).

The Office of Racial Equity is hiring an Assistant to the City Manager position to serve as the Inclusion and Belonging Manager for the City of San José.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience and knowledge in:

• Being a bridge-builder with the San José community and trusted to be a local partner on immigrant and refugee issues;

•                

• Familiarity with legislative process, advocacy towards immigration policy and initiatives;

•                

• Understanding the local context regarding race, gender, and economic disparities and inequities;

•                

• Understanding of racial equity, welcoming and belonging principles;

•                

• Developing programs, policies, or practices that are equitable and are culturally and linguistically appropriate;

•                

• Meeting design, planning and facilitation;

•                

• Writing complex reports and effectively presenting findings;

•                

• Methods and techniques of research, data collection, critical and statistical analysis, report preparation, and presentation development; and

•                

• Supervision of staff and manage workload accordingly.

Central abilities key to this position include excellent communication, strategic planning, leadership and interpersonal skills, a commitment to excellent customer experience, and coalition building. • Engage in Citywide efforts to advance racial equity;

• Develop and facilitate ongoing partnerships with other agencies and organizations, including Santa Clara County, Rapid Response Network, Refugee and Immigrant Forum, Welcoming America, Cities for Citizenship, local funders, and other networks that prioritize immigrants;

•                

• Serve as a liaison between the City and the immigrant and refugee community;

•                

• Work with the City Manager’s intergovernmental relations team to track local, state, and federal immigration legislation and develop new City policies and programs accordingly;

•                

• Supervise City staff and college interns; and

•                

• Other duties as assigned.

This is a permanent at-will position with the City Manager’s Office reporting to the Director of the Office of Racial Equity. Bilingual in Spanish or Vietnamese is preferable but not required.
