The Authority is currently recruiting for a part-time position of Environmental Stormwater Inspector to support the West Valley cities/Town stormwater inspection programs. These programs help protect our waterways and the San Francisco Bay by ensuring that businesses and residents are implementing best management practices to prevent water pollution and are in compliance with federal and local water quality regulations.

The Authority is currently working to advance multiple stormwater initiatives, such as trash reduction and controls for pollutants of concern, such as mercury and PCBs. The Environmental Stormwater Inspector may support these initiatives. An Environmental Stormwater Inspector also responds to complaints of illegal discharges

The Business Systems Analyst assigned to this role will provide complex analytical support for the maintenance and/or enhancement of the City’s Oracle ERP system. They will serve as a functional expert and a liaison between the Human Resources Department, business users, Information Technology Department Staff, vendors, and service providers. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide lead and consultation on the HRIS system and continued maintenance.  We are looking for an organized, detail oriented, and collaborative individual with great interpersonal skills. Work Schedule: The position is eligible for telework, up to 2 days per week, after a 6-month mandatory onsite work schedule. The telework schedule is subject to approval from the department director as permitted by City policy and practice.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Experience

 

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with concentration in public administration, business administration, computer science, information technology, business information systems or closely related field; AND two years of technical or professional experience in a field related to the department.
 
NOTE: A Master’s of Science degree in Computer Information Systems, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field may be substituted for one year of experience.

Housing Specialist I, Term-Limited

The City of Sunnyvale is seeking a term-limited Housing Specialist I to join the Housing Division in the Community Development Department. The term-limited Housing Specialist I will focus on the planning and implementation of unhoused services and programs. Under direction of the Housing Officer, Homeless Services Manager, or the Affordable Housing Manager, the term-limited Housing Specialist I will play a key role in the planning and development of new affordable housing, creating new housing programs and unhoused services and programs, implementing the Housing Element, applying for grants/funding to support affordable housing, and monitoring housing legislation. The term-limited Housing Specialist I will perform technical and professional level planning and community development work, with an emphasis on creation and implementation of programs that serve people experiencing homelessness and/or affordable housing programs. This position will closely collaborate with affordable housing developers, various housing advocacy groups, local non-profits, and the community. Library Assistants are part of a Branch Leadership Team that supervises clerical operations and clerical staff at a branch library or a major unit within the Martin Luther King, Jr. Library. Currently there is one vacancy. 

 

Position Duties
