The City of Marysville is hiring for a total of 1 Engineer position, and create an Employment List.

Performs advanced firefighting and rescue activities; operates and maintains the entire range of Fire Department vehicles, apparatus, equipment, and facilities; drives large fire apparatus in various traffic conditions; provides emergency medical and rescue services to the community; and performs related duties and responsibilities as required. The Fire Engineer receives direct supervision from the Fire Captain. This classification may be assigned temporary command of a fire station and may exercise functional supervision over staff during the assigned shift.

Performs tasks requiring: strength and stamina, such as lifting and moving equipment and objects weighing up to 100 pounds; pushing or pulling objects of up to 100 pounds; sitting, standing, walking on uneven or slippery surfaces, kneeling, bending, twisting, turning, stooping, squatting, grasping and crawling; ascending and descending stairs and ladders; working both inside and outside with exposure to extreme weather conditions, odors, dust and pollen; exposure to chemicals, skin irritants, fumes and solvents; frequent hand and arm motion; hand and finger dexterity sufficient to use small tools; turning and bending the neck; the ability to see well enough to read gauges, documents and street maps; accurate depth perception; the ability to communicate verbally, including projecting a voice that can be heard in a noisy environment; the ability to hear and distinguish various sounds, such as alarms, voices of co- workers, and warning horns or sirens in both quiet and noisy environments; the ability to stand, walk, bend , and reach at, above or below shoulder height for extended periods of time; sustained concentration and prolonged commitment to job tasks; interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with others on a team; high level cognitive, interpretive and judgement skills; ability to demonstrate flexibility in the work environment, performing a variety of frequently changing tasks; ability to plan, negotiate, direct, control and monitor other’s activities and the ability to work alone effectively under stress in situations dangerous to self or others.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is conducted both in a fire station and in the field in various settings. Some of these include exposure to smoke, odors, heat, steam, fumes, and dust, as well as periodic exposure to dangerous or life-threatening situations. Work involves irregular hours during days and evenings, on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

THE POSITION

Are you interested in assisting individuals to get connected to the resources and support they need to work on their mental health?  Tri-City is currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to be a part of the Access to Care (ATC) team. The Clinical Therapist I/II position for the ATC team will appeal to individuals who are interested in assisting participants and clients with enrolling into mental health services and getting the support they need.  We are looking for individuals inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community.  The Clinical Therapist I/II will report to a Clinical Supervisor or Clinical Program Manager.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Conduct same day biopsychosocial assessments with both adults and/or children and carry no caseload;

• Will formulate a differential diagnosis concerning the nature of the mental health challenge;

• Create treatment plans and complete all necessary Electronic Health Record documentation;

• Perform screenings, linkage to resources and provide crisis interventions and crisis assessments;

• Work on a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and ensure Network Adequacy;

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and must have excellent attendance;

• Collaborate with outside agencies to coordinate care for individuals seeking services.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for a special individual to serve as a Clinical Therapist I/II for the Children’s Full Service Partnership/Children and Transitional Age Youth (FSP/ C TAY). The Clinical Therapist I/II provides behavioral health clinical intervention and recovery services to assigned clients and their families; develops treatment plans and performs individual, group, and family psychotherapeutic counseling, routine and emergency assessment, crisis intervention, and related treatment services; manages an assigned caseload of adults, juveniles, and/or children; provides consultation to other staff, programs, and agencies related to treatment needs and plans; and performs related duties as assigned.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Provides individual, group, and family interventions, rehabilitation, and treatment services including counseling, therapy, case management, and referral and linkage to community services to a variety of clients including high acuity clients.

• Within scope of authority, assesses, diagnoses, and treats a variety of clients with mental health disorders; collaborates with clients and creates individualized treatments plans according to client’s needs and circumstances.

• Initiates and conducts individual, group, and family counseling and biopsychosocial therapy sessions utilizing a variety of techniques and modalities; provides case management services in the office and in the field.

• Performs routine and emergency intake evaluations according to Authority procedure; completes appropriate forms and documents relating to the intake process; and prepares medical and demographic case history for use in diagnosis.

• Assists clients and family members in understanding behavioral health diagnosis, contributing factors/causes, effects, prognosis, rehabilitation, and treatment.

• Works with clients to address stressors and barriers to treatment and/or social functioning; identifies and focuses on client strengths and personal resources to effectively engage and treat client.

The City of Patterson is recruiting for a Firefighter Paramedic.  This safety position will respond to fire alarms, emergency medical calls, traffic accidents, rescue and other emergency calls to protect life and property.  This position will also participate in trainings, drills, study activities and in the maintenance of the department apparatus, equipment, and facilities.  Under the supervision of the Fire Engineer or Fire Captain, performs ALS care to patients of medical emergencies and other medical procedures. The City of Sausalito is seeking a dynamic and innovative team player for the position of Librarian II at the Sausalito Public Library. Under general direction from the City Librarian, the Librarian II will support all programs and/or functional areas in the City Library, including identifying current and projecting future community needs and providing leadership to initiatives to improve library services.

The Dixon Fire Department is looking to fill a full-time vacancy for a Fire Captain and to establish an eligibility list for any future vacancies. This position coordinates and directs advanced firefighting activities, emergency medical aids, emergency rescue and other emergency and prevention activities, in protecting life and property; oversees subordinate personnel engaged in training, station and equipment maintenance; assists and participates in training programs; drives, operates and maintains all fire apparatus and equipment. Substitute Librarians perform professional-level library public service work, including answering reference questions, providing readers’ advisory, providing technical assistance, and presenting programs (as needed).

Substitute Library Assistants perform circulation tasks such as checking materials in and out, and work at the public service desk, assisting patrons with basic requests including answering simple questions, creating new patron accounts, and referring patrons to other staff for more complex questions. 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Substitute Librarians:

• Knowledge of Library Services and reference materials; readers advisory; professional practices and techniques of library science; and on-line library systems and information resources.
• Masters in library science issued by a college or university accredited by the American Library Association is preferred.
• Ability to work and effectively communicate with a diverse range of patrons.
• Bilingual in Spanish desired.

Substitute Library Assistants:

• Knowledge of basic office practices and procedures, including the operation of standard office equipment; alphabetical, numerical, and topical filing systems; material organization and structure of libraries; including categories of materials and general arrangement; library technical services terminology and equipment including on-line databases.
• Experience working in public libraries preferred.
• Ability to work and effectively communicate with a diverse range of patrons.
• Bilingual in Spanish desired.
