The City of Salinas, Library and Community Services Department is accepting applications for Library Pages to accommodate a schedule of seven (7) days per week. Temporary assignments consist of varied schedules that may work at any of the three libraries: John Steinbeck, Cesar Chavez or El Gabilan. Temporary employees may not exceed a maximum of 25 work hours per week and 1,000 work hours per fiscal year (fiscal year runs from July 1 – June 30).

This recruitment specifically invites candidates that are currently enrolled and/or attending a California P.O.S.T. accredited Police Academy. Candidates must be enrolled in a six (6) month full-time Police Academy or have begun the last module of an extended Police Academy.

$10.93 - $13.29 / Hourly
Note: This temporary assignment may be expected to work a varied schedule, possibly 4-5 hours per day, four days a week to include weekends and holidays. A possible schedule for the current vacancy is the following: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m.
Any prospective candidate will be required to pass a livescan and medical screening as part of the background and hiring process.
