The City is currently seeking a Senior Electric Engineering Technician who will be responsible for performing a wide range of sub-professional engineering and administrative duties including: planning, engineering design, project review, budgeting and management, labor and material estimates and complex phases of construction cost estimating. The incumbent has lead responsibility in planning, design and review of special and major development projects and has responsibility for the development and implementation of design and construction standards.
The IT Systems Engineering Specialist (ITSES) performs complex installation, diagnostic and maintenance activities for the City's server, data, network, and telecommunications infrastructure, and regularly provides advanced technical and functional support, direction and leadership to other technical staff. Additionally, this position provides timely support via the help desk, in-person, verbal, and written communication to addresses end user needs and support issues.
The City of Dixon is currently accepting applications for Building Plans Examiner I for one (1) full-time, permanent position in the City's Building Department and to create an eligibility list for future needs. This position organizes and conducts detailed plan reviews of common commercial, industrial, and residential structures for compliance with governing codes and ordinances; and provides technical assistance to the public and the inspection staff.
