The Department
The Public Works Department plays a key role in shaping the community and its future as Fremont. THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Public Works and Utilities is comprised of six divisions that work collaboratively to develop, build, operate, and maintain Hayward's infrastructure. The Department is responsible for providing engineering and transportation support to City operating departments and divisions and for implementation of the City's Capital Improvement Program, all while providing excellent customer service to the community.

Salary range: $162,509.89 - $197,511.58 Annually
