The Retired Annuitant position is limited to work no more than 960 hours per fiscal year. Placement in the class series is dependent upon qualifications. The salary range for each level is below:
- Bus Driver I: $45,864 - $58,552
- Bus Driver II: $48,152 - $61,484

LARPD is seeking a summer intern to support the Community Outreach Department. Applicants should have the equivalent of one year of college credits completed toward a degree. Candidates interested in learning about communications, content creation, and social media with a government agency will be given preference. - Position Summary
Under general supervision, operates a variety of transit vehicles to transport passengers along specific, assigned routes according to the District's requirements. Provide service in a safe, courteous and reliable manner. Responsible for written reports and other information as required. Upon completion of the Golden Gate Transit Training Program, the employee operates regularly scheduled assignments. All runs will originate in either Santa Rosa, Novato or San Rafael.
To be considered for this position, candidates must submit a 1) City of Santa Clara Employment Application and 2) Proof of completion of a Basic Peace Officer Academy certified by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) OR proof of completion of Level 1 Reserve Peace Officer POST Regular Basic Course (Reserve Police Officers Only). Under direction, the Traffic Control Special Events position directs motorists and controls traffic conditions at special events held in the City of Santa Clara.
