The City of San Jose is seeking an Enterprise Client Services Manager (Enterprise Supervising Technology Analyst) for the Information Technology Department (ITD). 

The Information Technology Department houses a team of customer-centric technicians and engineers to support the use of technology by City employees and the public. As the Enterprise Client Services Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing and managing that team of engineers and technicians ensuring excellent endpoint management services and day-to-day customer support services. 

The City of San José believes in the model of utilizing technology as a means for increased optimization as well as cost savings. With significant technology refresh and upgrade, there is a greater need for highly skilled technical hands-on leadership, oversight, and project management.

Key duties may include but are not limited to:

• Managing a Tier-1 helpdesk team to provide excellent customer service requested via online tickets, phone, and walkups.  
• Providing endpoint services management for UCaaS/VoIP, PCs (Windows 10/11 OS), conference rooms, Zoom, etc.
• Designing and overseeing implementation for newly introduced client service project initiatives and ensuring operationalization transitions to the IT Tier-1 support.
• Managing the ticket queues ensuring quality service and promoting fast turnaround time.

A short snapshot of the Business Solutions DCIO’s portfolio includes over 140 primary business applications, including a technical environment that spans Oracle (PeopleSoft/Taleo/Hyperion), Cayenta, SimpliGov, Microsoft O365/SharePoint/OneDrive/MSSQL), multiple cloud providers, enterprise reporting and data visualization solutions, and specialized applications in revenue, treasury, utilities billing, et al.

The City of San José Information Technology Department (ITD) seeks an exceptional senior manager to lead the City Portfolio-Products-Projects Office (C3PO) as Division Manager. 

The Portfolio-Products-Projects Office is a six year-old division in the City. Deconstructing traditional project management, San Jose’s C3PO is responsible for (1) executing technology and innovation initiatives with success; (2) ensuring strong business value from City products and platforms over time; and (3) building organizational capacities for the City to consistently transform and improve. 

The C3PO Division Manager will inspire team members and nurture a culture that is truly collaborative and customer-centric towards these ends. The position is critical to the City achieving ambitious goals to innovate, accelerate delivery of solutions, support deep collaboration and deliver remarkable value to the San Jose organization and community. 

The leader of the C3PO will work directly with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Assistant Chief Information Officer (ACIO) to build the team through a significant hiring phase. In its first five years, the C3PO already drastically improved technology execution success rates, earning the trust of partner departments. • Ensure successful project execution;
• Deliver continuously high business value from the City’s products and platforms through expert lifecycle management; and 
• Enable organizational capabilities and cultures that makes transformation through technology increasingly routine. 

Specific examples of work priorities over the next 18 months include: My San Jose, Business Process Automation, Integrated Permitting System and Development Services Upgrade and Transformation, Vehicle Blight service request management, 3-1-1 contact redesign, Business Tax system, emergency management technology refresh, IoT platforms and controls, infrastructure initiatives, and other efforts at the forefront nationally. Work is measured on the basis of hitting targets for cost, schedule, scope/quality, and realization of value at the customer level.

The City of San Jose is seeking an Enterprise Client Services Manager (Enterprise Supervising Technology Analyst) for the Information Technology Department (ITD). 

The Information Technology Department houses a team of customer-centric technicians and engineers to support the use of technology by City employees and the public. As the Enterprise Client Services Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing and managing that team of engineers and technicians ensuring excellent endpoint management services and day-to-day customer support services.

Key duties may include but are not limited to:

• Managing a Tier-1 helpdesk team to provide excellent customer service requested via online tickets, phone, and walkups.  
• Providing endpoint services management for UCaaS/VoIP, PCs (Windows 10/11 OS), conference rooms, Zoom, etc.
• Designing and overseeing implementation for newly introduced client service project initiatives and ensuring operationalization transitions to the IT Tier-1 support.
• Managing the ticket queues ensuring quality service and promoting fast turnaround time.
• Maintaining and improving the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based operational standards and services.  
• Overseeing customer hardware/software quoting and purchasing operations.
• Monitoring and providing analysis of reports and metrics to management and customers as needed.
• Coordinating and managing key third-party vendor relationships.
• Creating and managing training and development plans for direct reports. 
• Tracking maintenance renewals and subscriptions for users-owned services, hardware, and/or applications.
• Managing escalations and/or complaints and utilizing best judgment and discretion to resolve them.
• Improving customer service quality results by conducting surveys; evaluating and re-designing processes; establishing and communicating service metrics; and, monitoring and analyzing results.

The Enterprise Strategic Support Engineer will be providing hybrid meetings and Council systems strategic support under the Productivity and Collaboration Application Program. The City of San José is recruiting for an IT Support Manager in the Information Technology Department. As a technical manager, this position will be responsible for overseeing infrastructure service and day-to-day operations for the City’s Emergency Operation Center (EOC).

The IT Support Manager supports the essential technologies needed to operate the City’s EOC in disasters, including the core network infrastructure, computing servers, storage, enterprise applications, collaboration tools, Mobile Device Management, Motorola Computer Dispatch workstations, and video and audio systems. The EOC technologies include a multi-layer redundant/backup network connectivity with a localized data center, servers, and storage. This allows the EOC’s technology services available during large-scale emergency events.

The IT Support Manager is a member of the IT Department with a mission to support the EOC. The work plan defines the business requirements with priorities set by the Office of Emergency Management. As a member of the EOC response team, the IT Support Manager will need to be available onsite to support the emergency event. Work hours during an emergency event could be after City’s business hours or on the weekend.

Duties may include but are not limited to:
