To assist in implementing, coordinating, and evaluating recreation and programs and events, including but not limited to Teen Programs, Youth Programs, After School Programs, Aquatic Programs and events, promotional events, special events and excursions. The City of Albany is currently recruiting for Part-Time Building Attendants within our Recreation & Community Services Department. Building Attendants typically work between 8 and 15 hours per week. The shift is usually 1 to 2 nights per week, including weekends, for approximately 5 to 6 hours per shift. There may also be opportunities to work special events that will require work on weekdays and weekends. Work schedules vary based on department needs and are subject to change on a weekly basis.
Under the direct supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, the Senior Recreation Leader assists in the planning, organizing, coordinating, implementing, and supervising of a variety of recreation programs and activities of various age groups; and maintains a safe and enjoyable environment for recreation program participants.
The City of San Dimas Parks and Recreation Department offers a basketball league for youth ages 8-14 that emphasizes teaching fundamentals, sportsmanship, teamwork and fun. The program runs from December until March. Coaches must be available for practices two days per week scheduled between the hours of 2:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and games Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (all times approximate). Additional hours for trainings and meetings as assigned.
