The Human Resources Department is seeking well qualified candidates for the position of HRIM /Workday Application Support Analyst II. We are seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals to join our Human Resources Information Management /Workday team.

As the HRIM /Workday Application Support Analyst II, you will collaborate and consult with colleagues in various departments to understand business and functional drivers across all Workday HR modules. Your responsibilities will include hands-on configuration of Workday features, security, development of reports and dashboards, and provision of sound solutions to support end-to-end business processes. Additionally, you will assist with Workday tenant management, deliver exceptional customer support, and contribute to system testing and issue resolution.

Once job duties are learned, this position has the option of hybrid work, two or three days in the office and two days of remote work.

The base hourly salary range for this position is $56.47 - $70.58. Because the position is classified as "confidential" there is a 5% allowance added to the salary. This allowance has been added into the advertised salary range.

Examples Of Duties

Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Collaborate and consult with HR, Controller's Office, and other County departmental partners to understand business and functional drivers across all Workday HR modules.
• Configure Workday calculated fields, business processes, domain and business process security policies, and role assignments.
• Develop Workday reports and dashboards.
• Recommend efficient security and organization solutions to support end-to-end business processes.
• Assist with Workday tenant management.
• Provide the highest level of customer support through internal ticketing system and other communication channels.
• Support system functionality testing and issue resolution and develop proof of concepts based on business requirements.
• Build relationships with other Workday domain experts and critical users and collaborate with internal teams and vendors for process alignment.
• Assist in granting security access to Workday, following security protocols.
• Act as an escalation point for unresolved security or business process issues as directed.
• Assist with compliance reporting and system monitoring.
• Help manage Workday releases, identifying impact and enhancement opportunities, and communicate with functional owners and application leads.
• Support regression testing and introduction of required changes for new Workday releases.
• Continuously monitor Workday community for updates and valuable changes.
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to foster productive work relationships.
• Configure Workday security, including security groups, roles and permissions, user access, and implementation of security best practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience/Education:

• 3-5 years of proven Workday expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting business process and security solutions.
• Workday Pro certification in a relevant area is preferred but not required.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Information Technology or an equivalent field of study, is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proven experience leading multiple end-to-end Workday projects and implementing solutions for operational improvements and automation.
• Knowledge of basic and advanced security configuration including Workday delivered and custom based security roles based on the organization.
• Thorough knowledge of various security group types (role based, user based, segment based, etc.) and how they are applied in the system.
• Thorough understanding of Workday business process configurations.
• Ability to build and modify custom Workday reports and calculated fields.
• Experience in creating, loading, and troubleshooting EIBs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities effectively.
• Demonstrates confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive matters.
• Thrives in a demanding and fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.

Job Description:

The Town of Los Altos Hills is recruiting a college intern to work in the Community Development Department. The intern will split time between the planning and building divisions of CDD. The role for planning will include support of both short range and long range planning.  Interns working on long range planning will work primarily as a research aide for the Town’s 2023-2031 certified Housing Element implementation.  For short range planning and the building division support interns will be focused on day to day permit activities, but may also work on other more general department duties as needed.

Examples of Duties:

• Conduct research and analysis of State Law and Fair Housing requirements for the Town’s 2023-2031 certified Housing Element implementation
• Conduct field investigations as necessary
• Prepare and conduct surveys in association with the Housing Element implementation progress and reporting
• Creating illustrative graphics, flyers and informational handouts
• Providing planning customer support at the public counter/virtual counter

San Mateo County Health's Correctional Health Services is seeking qualified and experienced Correctional Health Nurses to perform varied professional nursing duties with primary emphasis on professional nursing care for inmates within a locked correctional facility; treat and educate patients about various medical conditions; record medical histories and symptoms; perform diagnostic tests and analyze results; operate medical machinery; administer treatment and medications to over 100 patients in an 8-hour shift; assist with patient follow-up and rehabilitation; and perform other duties as assigned and required. Correctional facilities include the Maguire and Maple Street Correctional Centers (Redwood City) and Youth Services Center (San Mateo).

The current vacancies are for five benefitted regular full- time (1.0 FTE) Correctional Health Nurses at our Maguire and Maple Street Correctional Centers in Redwood City and at our Youth Services Center in San Mateo for a variety of shifts.

Under general direction, Correctional Health Nurses are fully competent to independently perform a full range of professional nursing duties and procedures requiring one to exercise a high degree clinical judgment. Incumbents also provide lead direction to other nursing and paraprofessional personnel.

Correctional Health Services provides integrated medical, dental, mental health, and chemical dependency treatment to the incarcerated adult population, as well as medical and dental care to the juvenile hall population of San Mateo County, as described below:

• Medical services include health screening, treatment, education, and 24-hour emergency response for adults.
• Clinic appointments are available by referral and upon request and include chronic care for hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and HIV, as well as obstetric, orthopedic, and urgent care.
• Dental services include treatment and medication for urgent dental conditions and extractions for adults and juveniles.
• Mental health services include crisis intervention, evaluation, treatment, psychiatric medication, behavior management, and continuing care referrals.
• Day treatment services are provided to mentally ill men and women in the Life Skills Program at the Maguire and Maple Street Correctional Centers.
• CHS also provides weekly group therapy; cognitive behavioral approach to addiction and recovery; and re-entry services for those transitioning back into the community.

The ideal candidates:

Will be well-rounded and will have knowledge of Correctional Health and Mental Health nursing; Emergency Room or ICU experience; or a strong Medical/Surgical and Telemetry foundation. OB/GYN, pediatric experience and psychiatric care experience are also ideal, but not required. Candidates must be able to administer medications to over 100 patients within an 8- hour shift, in a locked correctional facility and on weekends.

Examples Of Duties

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Administer treatment and medications to over 100 patients within an 8-hour shift.
• Complete patient assessments and triage, as well as record patient histories, symptoms, and observations.
• Establish and implement nursing care plans for each patient through assessment, development, activation, and evaluation.
• Participate in patient case conferences and rounds.
• Organize, assign, and supervise duties and responsibilities of other staff members as a team leader.
• Orient and teach new staff members of the nursing team and students.
• Perform nursing care following prescribed rules, policies, protocol, and procedures.
• Identify problems, assist in data gathering, propose solutions and participate in evaluation of quality assurance issues.
• Work with patients and their families to provide in-hospital and after-hospital follow-up through teaching and referral.
• Work with patients and their families to provide in-custody and after custody follow-up through teaching and referral.
• Participate in educational programs to maintain level of expertise.
• Participate in non-clinical assignments, which may include maintaining records, preparing reports, and/or serving on special committees.
• Maintain records and prepare reports.
• Operate a variety of medical machinery and equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of outpatient resources.
• Develop discharge plans for patients.
• Perform related duties as assigned and as required by assigned work setting, as described below.

Duties for nurses in this series may also include the following:

• Perform professional nursing duties within a locked correctional facility.
• Check vital signs; give injections; perform catheterizations, IZ Registry, Point of Care Testing; and draw blood for medical purposes.
• Start, maintain, and discontinue intravenous lines.
• Monitor patient rehabilitation.
• Perform mental status exams and implement plan of care based on assessment findings.
• Monitor and document on patients in restraint and seclusion while maintaining patient safety.
• Determine medical or psychiatric emergency need and provide intervention.
• Recognize symptoms of major psychiatric diagnosis.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification:

Possession of a California license as a Registered Nurse or equivalent and a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

The Community Development and Transportation Department (CDT) is seeking a value-driven team player to fill the position of Planning Intern. About the Position: The Planning Department is seeking two interns who are interested in learning about open space conservation and planning for ecologically sensitive recreation. Their responsibilities may include researching and compiling project information, supporting with community and stakeholder engagement, assisting with environmental review and documentation, researching new programs and initiatives, conducting field surveys and data collection, and using computer-based systems such as GIS, Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator for analysis of data and preparation of documents regarding Midpen lands and facilities. The interns will work as a team and individually on assignments, including opportunities for field work to gain experience in data collection techniques and tools and on-the-job training in planning research, analysis, and written communication.  The expected start date for the interns is on or after July 8, 2024. We have limited flexibility to change the start date.

Basic Requirements: Internships are open to applications from current students or recent graduates (within the last 12 months). Successful candidates will have a background in the natural sciences, park/open space management, land use/environmental planning, GIS/geography, biology, ecology, or another related field; and experience with field data collection techniques. This internship requires strong organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and with a team. Experience with MS Outlook, MS Word and Excel, ArcGIS software, GPS equipment, Microsoft Excel, and Apple iPads is desired, and familiarity with Midpen preserves/trails as well as local flora, fauna, and natural history are a plus.   Possession of or ability to obtain a valid California driver’s license is required. Must possess the ability to lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Working Conditions: This position will report to the Planning Department at the Administrative Office in Los Altos, California.  Midpen offers a hybrid office/telecommute work environment for this position, which will be divided between onsite work, field visits, and limited home office work.  Fieldwork is conducted in rural or mountainous Midpen open space areas, which may involve working alone or with another intern in wildland areas, traversing rough difficult terrain sometimes with poison oak and dense vegetation, and carrying equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. This is a temporary position working 20 – 40 hours per week, which will extend up to a total of 950 hours over a 6-9 month period. This is a non-benefited position.

Selection Process
