INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN II – HEADQUARTERS

We are seeking a customer service driven IT professional for our full-time Information Technology Technician II position, which will provide a variety of technical and information systems support and training throughout the library system.

Under general direction of the Information Technology Manager, this position is responsible for troubleshooting computer-related problems; installing, customizing, implementing and maintaining software, hardware and network configurations, and various systems; developing and delivering technical training related to the public services function; providing support for desktop computer applications, Internet/Intranet, self-service portals, web based applications, and email systems; participating in planning, designing, implementing, testing, and supporting new or modified automation systems; researching and reviewing new software and hardware; performing other duties as assigned.
 
 
TYPICAL TASKS include, but are not limited to: 

• Performs complex technical and operational IT support work and systems administration and/or leads the work of others engaged in routine technical and operational IT support.
• Coordinates projects, personnel, and systems to facilitate access to the Library’s inter-networked computer systems.
• Inspects, troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves network and related system, hardware, software, and peripheral malfunctions.
• Provides technical support and assistance to personnel, librarians, and others concerning computer networks.

The City of Sunnyvale is seeking a Building Inspector to provide building construction inspections. Depending on the applicant qualifications, the position will be filled at the appropriate level/salary of either a Building Inspector I or Building Inspector II.

THE POSITION:

HONORARY DEAN ALLISON INTERNSHIP

Duties and Responsibilities of the Honorary Dean Allison Internship may include:

• Assisting staff to develop and implement the City’s sidewalk maintenance program.
• Drafting, iterating, and designing policy to introduce the City’s tree ordinance, urban forestry initiative, and the City’s public asset inventory project 
• Assisting with the permitting, sediment, reporting and regulatory compliance in support of the City’s Dredging project.

• Creating, updating and auditing project financial spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.

Qualifications:

THE POSITION:

The City of San Rafael Parking Services Department is seeking a full-time Parking Attendant II.  Under direct supervision, this position provides general service and information to the public, is responsible for the upkeep, presentation, and general operations of all City parking areas.

The Parking Attendant II will perform a variety of Parking Operations duties and will have the authority to make some operational decisions.  This position will perform basic equipment maintenance based on the presence of fairly clear guidelines from which to make those decisions, and the availability of supervision in non-routine circumstances.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

• Assists the public at all City parking locations, providing general information about the City of San Rafael, and specific information about rates, locations, and various programs.
• Operates all parking equipment and collects parking fees and provides change to customers.
• Direct, instruct and assist customers with all parking equipment and parking needs, including, but not limited to, meters, change machines, multi-space equipment and pay-on-foot stations.
• Maintains records of transactions and parking activities.
• Prepares cash deposits and delivers to designated drop areas.
• Provides forms, receipts, monies and related information to the City.
• Regularly inspects elevators and all parking equipment, fixes and/or reports to supervisors any damaged or malfunctioning equipment as appropriate.

• Shall have and be responsible for equipment keys (when applicable), validation and various ticket functions.

Education and Experience:  any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be: 

• equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade supplemented by college-level coursework in accounting or finance, and
• three (3) years in the maintenance of financial and accounting records
• experience in public sector finance, with the knowledge of principles of governmental financial recordkeeping and bookkeeping, is highly desired.

Licenses & Certifications Required:   Possession of a valid California Driver’s License.
