DEFINITION: Under general supervision the aide assists in planning, organizing, and implementing preschool programming for children ages 3-5 years old. Program hours are M-F PM 8:30am – 1:00pm and/or MWF 8:30am - 1:00pm. Approximately 15 – 30 hours a week. Substitute and floating positions also available 8:30am - 1:00pm.

DEFINITION: This position reports to the Recreation Coordinator and/or Supervisor managing youth programs. This position involves a high level of management, coordination, and good communication skills. As Camp Director, you will oversee plans, direct and coordinate the daily activities and staff for Mill Valley Recreation Department and Community Center Summer Day Camp Program. You will may have up to 15 part-time staff reporting to you at one time, you may be required to lead the entire camp in coordination and planning on a daily/ weekly basis and you may be asked to arrive early or stay late to oversee/ assist with camp prep and cleaning up. This position requires a commitment to Mill Valley Summer Camp programming and may be between a 20 to 40 hour a week position.

Role description

Under direction, the 2595 Senior EAP Counselor provides direction and supervision to counselors providing organizational wellness services and engaged in direct client counseling; provides clinical assessments, short-term counseling, and referral of City and County employees experiencing difficulties related to personal or work-related problems; conducts seminars, trainings, and consultations on issues related to personal and organizational wellness; prepares records and reports; and performs related duties as required.

Senior Management Analyst II – this class is the full journey level class and is experienced to work independently in identifying the need for and developing changes to operating practices, systems, programs and policies.  Incumbents perform the full array of duties within the area of assignment, including complex analytical projects and providing staff support to department administration and city officials as well as working with high degree of independence in interacting with all levels of city employees, managers, elected officials, community groups, and other governmental agencies and the public.

• Compiles narrative, fiscal and status reports on department, division, project and fund revenues and expenditures and assists with necessary adjustments.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.  A typical way to obtain these would be:

• Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in public administration, business administration or a related field.
• A master’s degree in public administration, public policy, or business administration is highly desirable.

Senior Management Analyst I:

• Three to four years of progressively responsible analytical experience.

Senior Management Analyst II (in addition to the requirements for the Senior Management Analyst I, this level requires):

• Five years or more of experience performing increasingly complex, professional analytical work with a high degree of autonomy.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:

• Possession of a valid driver’s license
