The Power Resources Specialist I/II position reports to a Principal Power Resources Specialist in the Power Resources Division. This position is part of an exciting, fast-paced team responsible for procuring hundreds of megawatts of renewable energy projects. The selected candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities: 

• Supports the preparation, issuing, and evaluation of solicitations for long term renewable energy, energy storage services, Resource Adequacy, energy and other power products, including overseeing or supporting consultants.  

• Plans and supports the negotiation and execution of power contracts, including facilitating complying with City contract execution requirements. 

• Assists in the management, analyzing, and enforcing of power contracts, including long term renewable energy contracts through development, construction, and operation.  

• Assists in efforts to pursue opportunities for the City to develop City-owned power assets.  
• Participates in completing analysis and prepare procurement plans, including managing consultants, developing procurement strategies.  
• Supports and undertakes projects related to power, procurement, and validation; assists in the approval of energy purchases or sales of surplus energy.
• Collaborates with the regulatory team in drafting required regulatory filings such as integrated resources plans and renewable procurement plans.  
• Collaborates with the account management team to develop new products desired by customers, such as direct renewables and feed-in-tariffs.  
• Participates in joint procurement with other Community Choice Aggregators (CCAs) and CA Community Power.  
• Develops and maintain relationships with power suppliers and consultants. 
• Assures compliance with Federal, State, and local requirements.

The candidate should have effective communication skills, show attention to detail, and be able to work independently. Candidates that are highly collaborative with colleagues and outside stakeholders are ideal.

Salary Information:

The total annual salary range for a Power Resources Specialist I is $93,868.32 - $114,397.92.The total annual salary range for a Power Resources Specialist II is: $102,145.68 - $124,444.32. These ranges include an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable pay. Actual pay shall be determined by the candidates' qualifications and experience.

The Police Officer - Lateral position is a sworn position in the Police Department. • First Aid Card & CPR Certificate 

Additional Requirements:

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION AND POLYGRAPH TEST
An intensive background investigation will be conducted on each final candidate in accordance with the Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission Peace Officer Background Investigations Guidelines. Candidates will also be required to successfully pass a polygraph test administered by a licensed polygrapher, a psychological exam given by a City-selected psychologist and a medical exam by a City physician (to include a stress test EKG and general physical examination). Position and Duties  

The City Manager’s Office is recruiting for an Assistant to the City Manager position to serve as an Operating Budget Coordinator to help guide and facilitate the development of the City’s Operating Budget.  This is an unclassified, salaried position, which means that the position is not part of the Civil Service system.  This management position is not represented by a bargaining unit.  This at-will position reporting to the Assistant Budget Director is limit-dated through June 30, 2023, and is anticipated to be considered for further extension into the 2023-2024 fiscal year.

The Operating Budget Coordinator will play a key role in developing and managing issues related to the  City’s annual operating budget.  Serving as one of two Operating Budget Coordinators, the ideal candidate for this new position to the Budget Office’s senior leadership team possesses the technical budgeting and strategic management skills necessary to provide additional capacity within the Budget Office for complex budgetary development and problem-solving activities while simultaneously ensuring accuracy of budget recommendations and publications. 

In support of the Budget Director, the incumbent will help coordinate key aspects of the operating budget development and modification processes, and will be responsible for the accuracy and issue management of significant portions of the City’s budget.  The position is expected to self-initiate, design, and implement projects to improve budgeting processes and outcomes, and will often be called upon to craft effective written communication of complex financial, budgetary, and operational information in a manner clear and accessible to the City Council and members of the public. 

Key Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the following:

• Shares responsibility with another Assistant to the City Manager in facilitating operating budget development and adjustment processes, with anticipated oversight of all non-personnel expenditure budgeting.
• Manages and ensures accurate implementation of the General and Special Fund budget balancing strategy for each budgeting process, including the Proposed Budget, Mid-Year Budget Review, Year-End Clean-up Actions, and Annual Report.
• Leverages the analytical and reporting functionality of the Hyperion budgeting platform to improve budgeting processes, monitoring and outcomes, and conducts regular training of departmental staff.
• Working collaboratively with City departments and Budget Office senior leadership, solves complex operating budget issues, mindful that competent and quick resolutions positively impact service delivery to the community.   
• Coordinates memorandum review activities and provides staff support for budget/fiscal implications for all City Council memoranda.
• Monitors economically-sensitive information affecting various City funds.
• Effectively supervises and motivates a team of Budget Office staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of assignments. 
• Ensures alignment of the Capital Program with City Council priorities, policies, and budget principles and City Manager directives and budget guidelines.
• Authors, reviews, and edits budget documents, reports, memoranda and briefing materials for the capital budget.
• Studies City organizations, operations and services to make recommendations to improve quality and effectiveness of service delivery. 
• Resolves and facilitates major issues which are confidential, controversial or of major significance to the organization.
• Represents the Budget Office or City Manager’s Office as assigned at public events including community groups, City Council sessions, and Committee meetings.

The actual salary shall be determined by the final candidate’s qualifications and experience. In addition to the starting salary, employees in the Senior Executive Analyst classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay.  The salary range for the Senior Executive Analyst classification is $94,224.88  – 143,942.32.00 and with the 5% non-pensionable pay, the salary range is $98,936.13 - $151,139.44.

The Senior Executive Analyst (SEA) is a manager level classification and plays a critical role in developing Analysts and guiding them with their assignments.  The SEA position is distinguished from a Budget Analyst position primarily by the scope and complexity of their assignments, the supervisory role they play, and the ability to independently perform their work. The incumbent will be responsible for operating and/or capital budgetary analysis assignments for a City Service Area (CSA) and several City departments, including assisting their assigned CSA/departments in developing and monitoring their operating/capital budgets; analysis of revenues and expenditures; coordination and presentation of budget information to the City Manager; preparation of the City's annual Operating and/or Capital Budgets; review of budget-related departmental requests; collaboration with departments to resolve budgetary issues; review of City Council memoranda for budget implications and appropriate budget language, conducting research on budget and policy-related matters; and special projects as assigned. During critical times of the year, you will be expected to work overtime, both weeknights and weekends, for the preparation and release of several key budget documents.

The City of Campbell's Police Department is seeking qualified candidates for Public Safety Dispatcher!

Under general supervision, to receive and transmit routine and emergency telephone, radio and computer messages; to keep a variety of police records; and to do related work as required.

Typical Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Answers all telephone calls promptly and courteously;
• Makes rapid and accurate determination of the nature of each call and the degree, severity, and location of any emergency;
• Refers non-emergency callers to the appropriate agency or other resource;
• Questions emergency callers to elicit complete and accurate information necessary for emergency response and enters information in the computer-aided dispatch system;
• Gather information using multiple audio and visual resources;
• Selects emergency response units in exact accordance with established user agency policies and procedures;
• Promptly and properly alerts response units in exact accordance with user agency policies and procedures;
• Maintains current status on all field units;
• Closely monitors any situation presenting a potential danger to the life or safety of field personnel and takes immediate action to dispatch assistance as required;
• Maintains radio contact with field units and enforces proper channel control, discipline, and courtesy;
• Maintains records and logs reflecting the outcome and details of emergency incidents;
• Participates in training and evaluation activities to establish and maintain a high level of proficiency;
• Accesses automated law enforcement systems, inputs data and information, and makes accurate entries into automated record files in accordance with applicable laws, statutes and Department of Justice requirements; and 
• Builds and maintains positive working relationships with coworkers, other City employees, and the public using principles of good customer service.

Knowledge of:

• Standard communications principles and methods for public service dispatch activities;

Hours of Work: Public Safety Dispatchers typically work 12 hours shifts, with 4 work days one week and 3 work days the following week.  Shifts available area a day and night shift, or variation, that can rotate every six months.  Dispatchers may have to work weekends, holidays and overtime. 

Special Conditions: Incumbents must have the ability to work, as assigned, on schedules that may include Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and non-traditional work hours; and a willingness to work overtime as required.

Other Requirements: Must be able to perform all the essential functions of the job assignment.  All candidates will be required to pass a City background investigation, which will include fingerprinting and may include polygraph and/or psychological testing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:

• Graduation from an accredited high school (GED may be substituted for a high school diploma); plus
• One year of successful full-time responsible experience performing work where the essential functions of the job involved public contact, computer usage or heavy telephone traffic.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR APPLICATION:

• Typing Certificate certifying a minimum of 40 wpm dated within one year of the application date; AND
• Criticall Dispatcher test with a passing score dated within one year of the application date; OR
