THE POSITION

This position is focused on coordinating and monitoring information technology operational systems for the City including analyzing, diagnosing, maintaining, and troubleshooting assigned system areas such as applications, operating systems, and database systems. This position has a wide breadth of responsibility and is the backbone for ensuring the City’s technology systems always stay up and running. An example of duties are:

• Performs configuration, modification, testing and implementation of vendor software; develops, coordinates and implements plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing.
• Assists with the installation of new and existing software; ensures training of staff in the use of new and existing software.
• Conducts systems analysis; develops business and technical requirements; designs functional and technical specifications; writes source code; tests applications.
• Assists with the planning and coordination of migrations from legacy systems and the implementation of ongoing maintenance of new computer systems.
• Performs technical and functional troubleshooting and on-call support; installs and tests upgrades and system patches; tracks problems and requests for system enhancements and upgrades and resolve problems as they occur.
• Installs, configures, and maintains SQL server, including capacity planning, installation and configuration of SQL management tool and client uses.
• Provides support for specific department applications; tests programs and applications from user’s perspective.
• Coordinates, develops, and performs data export and import routines between applications.
• Acts as a technical resource for staff; identifies and suggests alternatives and recommends process changes through information systems; assists in identifying potential and required changes to business processes and/or procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree with major coursework in MIS, business, management, or a closely related field;

AND

Four (4) years of progressively responsible professional experience in computer technology.

Technical certifications are highly desirable.

The Budgets and Financial Planning & Analysis Section is responsible for developing and managing the organization's budgets, performing financial analysis and forecasting, developing financial plans and supporting effective financial management throughout MTC, ABAG and affiliated entities.

Under the general direction of the Assistant Director, the Associate Budget and Grant Financial Analyst is responsible for preparation and monitoring of the operating and capital budgets, grant management, compliance and reporting of assigned entities. Working closely with agency Sections and program staff, this position will perform a variety of complex analytical and administrative work supporting effective financial and grants management of ABAG and its affiliated entities.

Education:  A Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance or related field.  A Master's degree is highly desirable.  Applicants with a degree issued from an institution outside the United States must have their transcripts evaluated by an academic accrediting service and provide proof of equivalency along with their application.   

Experience:  Five years of increasingly complex and responsible work experience in treasury, governmental budgeting, governmental fund accounting, or similar field, including the equivalent of two years as an Assistant Financial Analyst in MTC.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Boards and Commissions
• Experience with federal and state grant management

License/Certificate:  Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license and a safe driving record, or the ability to provide alternate transportation which is approved by the appointing authority.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the general direction of the Assistant Director, specific assignments and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:    

• Develop and manage annual budgets, ensuring accuracy and alignment with agency priorities.
• Monitor expenditures, identify variances and work closely with section and project managers to address financial issues.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial analysis; assist with monthly and year-end close activities, including financial reconciliation and reporting.

The Position

The Senior Landscape Architect will plan, supervise, and review the work of City Landscape Architect staff. The incumbent will: coordinate and oversee various landscape projects; perform professional landscape architect work in conjunction with the design and preparation of plans, specifications and cost estimates for the development and rehabilitation of parks, landscaped areas and street beautification projects; inspect and review the work of developers and contractors landscaping for conformance with plans and specifications; and give professional advice on landscape matters.

Marina Attendants work in the formal Suisun City classification of Recreation Specialist I. Starting hourly rate will depend on qualifications. This position works on average 19 hours per week.

The Department: The Recreation, Parks and Marina Department is responsible for the operations and programs of the Suisun City Marina, the Senior Center, and the Joseph A. Nelson Center, including preschool, after-school programs at various sites, recreation classes and sports leagues, community events and special event rentals.

The Position: Marina Attendants provide assistance and information to marina customers, in person and by telephone; perform marina related inspections and boat checks including seaworthiness boat checks and improvement verifications; perform boat measurement and appearance inspections; monitor dock conditions, check seawall and other dock infrastructure, and clear debris from Suisun City waters; perform impound and auction related activities; interpret, apply and explain policies, regulations, codes and procedures relating to slips, moorings and dock structures; assign space for visiting vessels, calculate and collect fees; maintain inventory and operate marina equipment. ABOUT THE POSITION
The City of Gilroy is recruiting for part-time Recreation Leaders II/III assigned to the Adaptive Program. The main goal of the City of Gilroy’s Recreation Division is to offer excellent recreation programs that provide community members with a wide range of opportunities to celebrate life and community through people, parks, programs, and special events which are delivered by a team of employees dedicated to offering quality recreational, social, and cultural services to all Gilroy residents. 
 
Under direct supervision of a Recreation Supervisor, the Recreation Leader II/III will assist, plan, organize, and lead the physical, recreational, and social activities of assigned recreation programs. Program area focus is Adaptive (Special Needs), but you might be asked to support another recreation area.

 When assigned to the Adaptive Program, the leader will have an opportunity to have hands-on experience working with a special needs population.  Disabilities of participants vary in range from non-communicative to diminished motor skills to severe autism.  The position will report to an experienced staff member.  As related experience is gained as noted in the job qualifications and requirements, and with the recommendation in the employee’s performance evaluation, Recreation Leaders can advance from Recreation Leader II to Recreation Leader III.  As the employee advances through the job series the employee will take on more responsibility and more challenging work assignments.
