THE POSITION

Reporting to the Director of Administrative Services, the Management Analyst (Risk Management) provides professional support to risk management programs including: workers' compensation, safety compliance, review and approval of contracts and Certificates of Insurance, risk transfer, and leave and disability administration. 

In addition, you will have the opportunity to coordinate and oversee workers' compensation claims management including monitoring accepted claims and providing information to claimants, attorneys, and the workers' compensation carrier. You will also serve as a consultant to City departments and employees on Risk Management (workers' compensation, safety, contract insurance) problems and communicate regularly with internal and external parties to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of assigned programs and activities, minimize risk, and advise of claim developments. This position will also support the City's leave management program.

OASIS is community field-based mental health services provided to older adults at their place of residence. This home visit services include medication evaluation and monitoring, individual counseling/therapy, and case management. This multiple discipline team with language capacity in English, Spanish, and Chinese, consists of Psychiatrists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists, a Community Mental Health Nurse, and a Peer Support Worker. Services are available to San Mateo County residents age 60 and over with issues of mobility and mental health conditions that impact their day-to-day functioning.  

Clinicians will use evidence-based approach to perform assessment, diagnosis, make medical necessity treatment plans, case management, individual therapy, and work with family members of clients' and other community providers for clients' mental health follow-up care needs. These interventions are provided in field setting or in clients' place of residence, and/or as needed to clients who are living in the community.

Clinicians are committed to providing medical necessity treatment that supports the clients' goals of independence and self-sufficiency with other service providers' support to continually live in the community with better quality of life. The ideal candidates will possess:

The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Deputy County Counsel II/III in the Office of County Counsel. San Mateo County Health's Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Division is seeking a well-qualified individual for the position of Supervising Mental Health Clinician - Adult and Youth Services. Supervising Mental Health Clinicians supervise and coordinate the professional work of mental health professionals, paraprofessionals and interns in San Mateo County and participate in program planning, administration and evaluation; and provide specialized psychiatric casework counseling and therapeutic services to adults and youth in the field.
 
The current vacancy is in Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) Crisis and Outreach Team including the Psychiatric Emergency Response Team, the Crisis Response Team (CRT), Healthcare for the Homeless (HCH), Homeless Engagement Assessment Linkage (HEAL) team, and the law enforcement, mental health partnership within multiple cities in the County.

Supervising Mental Health Clinicians are members of the Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Leadership Team and work with collaborative partners on system wide initiatives focused on improving services and service delivery. This position reports directly to a Clinical Services Manager.
 
The Supervising Clinician oversees daily operations and directs a multidisciplinary team providing recovery-based behavioral health services, outreach and linkage for BHRS' crisis and outreach teams. Services provided include: supervising mobile clinicians who are working in tandem with city law enforcement at behavioral health crises and/or with homeless outreach programs throughout the County, supervise the program specialist for the Crisis and Outreach Team, and conduct trainings and presentations to law enforcement and the community.
 
The teams include psychiatrists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, law enforcement officers and community workers who are consumers or family members. The clinical teams may also work with clinical interns.  
 
The ideal candidate will possess:

• Knowledge of system of care principles.
• Knowledge of program management techniques and practices.
• Knowledge of crisis de-escalation, crisis evaluation, 5150-hold application, and community crisis response.
• Knowledge of crisis continuum of care.
• Strong supervisory/leadership skills, which demonstrate an ability to direct and motivate a multi-disciplinary team some of whom will be mobile and in disparate parts of the County.
• The ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with consumers, families, professionals, law enforcement, Psychiatric Emergency Services, SMART Medics and the public; including close collaboration with and engagement of community partners to plan for, implement and coordinate needed services.
• Ability to make sound decisions based on the exercise of judgment and the consideration of all available information often with very little time during active crises.
• Demonstrated expertise and skill in clinical work with adults and youth with serious mental illnesses who may also have had contact with law enforcement and psychiatric emergency services.
• Knowledge of evidence based clinical practice modalities, e.g. motivational interviewing, solution focused brief treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy, wellness and recovery principles, and trauma informed care, for examples.
• Knowledge of Medi-Cal and Medicare regulations and managed mental health care.
• Strong knowledge of Avatar, Soarian and other tools used by BHRS for information and charting.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic and evaluation skills.
• Experience working with clients of diverse cultures and backgrounds.
• Inpatient and outpatient clinical experience.
• Experience working with clients on the streets and in shelters.
• Collaborative experience or knowledge of the Criminal Justice system.

 

Examples Of Duties

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: 

• Consult with clinicians in the field to determine a course of action during active crises that may involve law enforcement.
• Tracking of data for established and pilot programs and report these statistics out to leadership.
• Facilitate regular meetings with clinicians and all other systems partners that Crisis and Outreach Team collaborates with.

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification:  
Possession of a valid California license in at least one of the following:  Registered Nurse; Clinical Psychology; Clinical Social Worker; or Marriage, Family and Child Counseling.

Education and Experience: 
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is a Master's degree in a mental health specialty, such as social work, nursing, or clinical counseling and two years of professional post-graduate experience in a mental health setting.

Knowledge of: 
Basic program management techniques and practices; principles and practices of supervision and training; human and health services system in the County including private agencies and their community resources; current philosophy, principles and practices for services to clients with serious mental illness; legal and policy aspects of community mental health methods; techniques of family, individual and group counseling and diagnosis; individual, group and family psychodynamics; current principles and practices of psychiatric casework; mental health consultation and education; and problems, needs, attitudes and behavior patterns of patients/clients.

Skill/Ability to:

THE POSITION
The Manager, Quantitative Analysis and Modeling is responsible for organizing, assigning, reviewing and participating in professional duties related to analysis and modeling, structured product development, portfolio risk management, and integrated resource planning. Duties include:

• Planning, prioritizing, reviewing and participating in the performance of professional analysis and modeling of risk and value around complex transactions and portfolio positions, including structured products, rate analysis and development, and hedging strategies.
• Developing methods and schedules to accomplish assignments, ensuring work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Developing pricing and calibration models for a variety of products.
• Solving challenging quantitative problems related to setting rates and valuations for structured products.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or Economics.
Experience: Five to ten (plus) years of experience in a position with similar duties including programming expertise (e.g., C++, Python, R, Matlab).

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking to fill vacancies for a Psychiatric Technician I/II for the Adult Outpatient Program/Adult Full-Service Partnership (FSP) Program. The Psychiatric Technician I/II will appeal to individuals who are inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community by providing all manner of adjunctive medication support services. The Psychiatric Technician I/II will report to the Medication Support Team Supervisor and the Crisis & Medication Support Manager and work a 9/80 schedule.

Psychiatric Technician I: This is the entry-level classification in the Psychiatric Technician series. Initially under close supervision, incumbents learn and perform routine medication monitoring, administration, and support, while learning Authority policies and procedures. 

Psychiatric Technician II: This is the journey-level classification in the Psychiatric Technician series. Positions at this level are distinguished from the Psychiatric Technician I by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned, working independently, and exercising judgment and initiative. Positions at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Under the direction of clinical staff, provides medication management services to a caseload of clients in the office and in the field; ensures the proper acquisition and administration of medication.

• Provides education and training to clients, their families, and/or staff on the proper care and use of medications, including symptoms of, reactions to, or side effects of, specific medications; informs clients of the impact of abuse and/or misuse of medications.

• Takes and records measures of clients’ vital signs, physical condition, and behaviors; assists and observes clients self-dispense medication as prescribed by a psychiatrist and administers scheduled injections.

• Conducts medication checks on clients to assess their overall medication management capabilities; takes appropriate action if client poses danger with respect to the use or abuse of medication; observes, evaluates, records, and reports to professional staff changes in client’s condition.

• Motivates clients to develop self-reliance in daily living; encourages clients to participate in group and/or individual therapy/program activities.
