The City of Albany has an immediate opening for the position of Maintenance Worker II.
Under general supervision, the Maintenance Worker II performs a variety of tasks in maintaining streets; storm drainage and sewer systems; parks, landscaped areas, and grounds; buildings; and vehicles, equipment, and tools. May serve as a team leader when working on a specific project with other Maintenance Workers. May be asked to provide informal guidance and “coaching” to new Maintenance Workers.

The City is currently accepting applications to fill a part-time position in the Engineering Division of the Public Works Department. Under supervision, the Engineering Intern will perform a variety of technical duties in support of professional staff in the Engineering Division.
To perform a variety of semi-skilled and routine electrical construction, maintenance, repair and testing work.
The purpose of this recruitment is to hire a Temporary/Part-Time position. Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualifications for the Electrician’s Assistant position may be considered for employment as an Intern. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Temporary/Part-Time employees work no more than 130 hours per month and 960 hours per Fiscal Year.
