- Position Summary
Under general supervision, operates a variety of transit vehicles to transport passengers along specific, assigned routes according to the District's requirements. Provide service in a safe, courteous and reliable manner. Responsible for written reports and other information as required. Upon completion of the Golden Gate Transit Training Program, the employee operates regularly scheduled assignments. All runs will originate in either Santa Rosa, Novato or San Rafael.
To be considered for this position, candidates must submit a 1) City of Santa Clara Employment Application and 2) Proof of completion of a Basic Peace Officer Academy certified by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) OR proof of completion of Level 1 Reserve Peace Officer POST Regular Basic Course (Reserve Police Officers Only). Under direction, the Traffic Control Special Events position directs motorists and controls traffic conditions at special events held in the City of Santa Clara.

The City of Brisbane is currently recruiting for a Police Corporal in the Police Department. Under the general supervision of the designated Police Sergeant, leads and performs a wide variety of law enforcement duties involving crime prevention; protection of life and property and enforcement of all laws; including city ordinances; makes investigations, assists in the preparation of cases and testifies in court; serves in specialized departmental roles as assigned; provides information and assistance to the public.
The Position: This is the non-sworn, trainee-level class in the Police Officer series. Incumbents earn an hourly wage while attending a basic POST certified training academy to obtain the basic skills and fitness level necessary for performance of Police Officer duties. Employment in this classification is contingent upon maintaining enrollment in a POST approved academy for which they are enrolled.
