We are currently looking to fill one (1) vacancy for the Clinical Therapist I/II with our Child and Family Services Department in our School Partnership Team.

The positions are responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Provide individual, family, group therapy for adults, children, adolescents, and youth with mental illness and their families; facilitate child and family team meetings;

• Within scope of authority, assesses, diagnoses, and treats a variety of clients with mental health disorders; collaborates with clients and creates individualized treatments plans according to client’s needs and circumstances.

• Provide home, field, office and/or school services; complete all DMH documentation; participate in the on-call rotation;

• Perform routine and emergency intake evaluations according to Authority procedure; completes appropriate forms and documents relating to the intake process; and prepares medical and demographic case history for use in diagnosis.

• Assists clients and family members in understanding behavioral health diagnosis, contributing factors/causes, effects, prognosis, rehabilitation, and treatment.

• Works with clients to address stressors and barriers to treatment and/or social functioning; identifies and focuses on client strengths and personal resources to effectively engage and treat client.

DEFINITION

Under limited direction, the Housing and Economic Development Manager directs and administers the division to which they are assigned. The City of American Canyon Parks & Recreation Department invites energetic, creative and responsible individuals to apply for the position of Program Coordinator. Program Coordinators are part-time, temporary staff members who work under Recreation Coordinators to oversee and implement a wide range of recreation programming. Program Coordinators may be asked to provide recreation leadership, supervision, and assistance in various recreation programs, including day camp, youth and adult sports, special events and outdoor spaces.

Examples of Duties

THE POSITION

To perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the removal of blight from City property.  Positions allocated to this class are expected to perform skilled and complex maintenance including litter, weed, and debris removal duties and to work with third party contractors.

The purpose of the recruitment is to fill a current vacancy at the Woodland Police Department, Homeless Outreach Street Team, as well as establish an eligibility list for future vacancies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Work to complete required duties for the City’s Blight Abatement Team such as removal of graffiti, removal of abandoned camps, litter clean-up, power washing, removal and clean-up of bio-hazards and human waste, removal of fallen leaves and minor landscaping clean-up, as well as assist in the execution and implementation of special events that take place within the City limits.
• Work in cooperation with staff from other City departments. 
• Fulfill the tasks assigned to them with attention to detail, speed, and a customer service-oriented attitude.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Provide general information to the public, other City departments, and vendors pertaining to area of assignment. Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on assigned equipment.  

The work environment is located primarily outdoors and consists of completing tasks involving litter, weed, debris and graffiti removal, painting and biohazard abatement. Additional tasks include cleaning of walkways, street gutters, alleyways, and landscape areas. Conditions range from working outside in all types of weather conditions. Some work will involve hazardous and unsanitary conditions. Flexibility and patience are required. Must be self-motivated and able to complete job assignments without regular direct supervision. Must be able to work under stressful conditions.

Meet stand-by program requirements and serve in a stand-by status after regular working hours and respond to emergency call-outs.  Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, scheduling of work, and employee evaluations.   Requisition of materials and supplies for assigned facilities and projects.   Instruct subordinates in proper work techniques, use of equipment and safety practices and requirements. Work cooperatively with others.  Drive vehicles and equipment as required.  

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.  

Experience:

One (1) year of experience performing duties comparable to those of a Maintenance

Worker I.

Bilingual:  Knowledge of a second language is beneficial.

License and Certificate:

Required upon hire, possession of valid Class C California Driver's License.

Forklift Certification, First Aid and CPR certifications, is required prior to permanent appointment.

Possession of a valid Class B or Class A California Driver's License is a plus.

Community Enhancement Specialist
$4,804.06 - $6,131.34 /month

Future salary growth includes 4% increase effective July 2024, a 1% increase effective January 2025, a 4% increase in July 2025 and a 1% increase effective January 2026.

Role description

Under direction, the 2595 Senior EAP Counselor provides direction and supervision to counselors providing organizational wellness services and engaged in direct client counseling; provides clinical assessments, short-term counseling, and referral of City and County employees experiencing difficulties related to personal or work-related problems; conducts seminars, trainings, and consultations on issues related to personal and organizational wellness; prepares records and reports; and performs related duties as required.

Typical duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Participates in the selection of, trains and evaluates a team of journey level counselors.
2. Provides clinical assessment, short-term counseling, and referral of City and County employees experiencing difficulties related to personal or work-related problems, such as stress, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, emotional concerns or relationship issues; provides counseling to family members and significant others as appropriate.
3. Educates employees, managers, supervisors, and union personnel regarding employee assistance program service offerings, how to access services, early identification of personal and workplace problems, and referrals to the program; directs the development of programs, resources, and EAP initiatives.
4. The Construction Secretary will assist the Chief of Construction, Construction Services Manager and the Construction Project Analyst with administrative tasks within the division.

Supervision

Physical Demands

Required Hours and Location

The Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) Division of San Mateo County Health seeks an experienced psychiatrist to serve as Supervising Adult Psychiatrist for our Interface Primary Care Team.

Interface Primary Care is a BHRS mental health integrated, collaborative care program providing psychiatric services and Medication Assisted Treatments (MAT) to adults receiving care in the Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Community Primary Care Clinics operated by San Mateo County Health. These clinics are located at North County Primary Care Clinic (in Daly City), Fair Oaks Health Center (in Redwood City), San Mateo Medical Center (SMMC), South San Francisco Primary Care Clinic (South San Francisco), and the Sequoia Teen Wellness Center (in Redwood City). This position will be a mix of direct clinical care and providing leadership and supervision for an interdisciplinary team of providers. This position also includes collaborative consultation with primary care/specialty medical providers and support for MAT services across BHRS.

This position is a full time, 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week) position. This Supervising Adult Psychiatrist will report directly to the Medical Director of BHRS and will assist him/her in providing the highest quality behavioral health care in San Mateo County.

The Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Division uses evidence-based treatment approaches in our system of care services, while seeking continuing improvement and development in the areas of cultural competence, integrated services for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use problems, and supportive housing. Our achievements reflect the work of dedicated staff as well as the valuable input of behavioral health system partners--criminal justice and human services agencies, private providers and contract agencies, Mental Health and Substance Abuse Commission members, families, and consumers.
 
The ideal candidate is Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry and has at least three years of experience supervising psychiatrists and/or psychiatry residents, as well as a keen interest in and knowledge of policy and planning on behavioral health issues and organizational and clinical performance measurements. Knowledge of substance abuse treatment and MAT, including board certification in Addiction Medicine/Psychiatry is strongly preferred.

Examples Of Duties

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Leadership in fostering integrated care for clients with serious mental illness and primary care conditions;
• Psychiatric services for an adult behavioral health clinic including substance use services;
• Program planning for and teaching, mentoring, and supervision of adult psychiatric residents;
• Quality Improvement activities including reviews of hospital admissions and review of research proposals;
• Provide consultation, review and guidance to other physicians in the evaluation and treatment of adults;
• Member of the BHRS Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and support the Pharmacy Services;
• Member of the BHRS Medical Chiefs Leadership Group;
• Member of the Residency Training Committee and its selection and evaluation process;
• Regular meetings with the BHRS Medical Director;
• Help review grievances that come to BHRS regarding the Interface Primary Care Team;
• Review and approve timecards for supervisees;
• Organize and coordinate clinical coverage;
• Organize and facilitate monthly meetings and individual supervision, performance evaluation, and appraisals;
• Review and approve educational and professional expenses prior to submission to BHRS Medical Director; and

Qualifications

Education and Experience:
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is:

Completion of a residency program and three years of experience in Adult Psychiatry.

Licensure/Certification:

• License to practice medicine or osteopathy in the State of California.
• Possession of a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Knowledge of:

• Health care management practices and principles including revenue retrieval.
• Current developments, trends and research in a medical specialty.
• Principles and practices of supervision.
• Development of medical policies, procedures and protocols.
• Preparation of comprehensive reports and other correspondence.
• Pharmacology and psychopharmacology including laws regarding informed consent, dosage ranges, drug incompatibilities, and side effects.

RECRUITMENT SCHEDULE

Under general supervision, the Neighborhood Preservation Inspector. ensures compliance with applicable sections of the State, Federal, and Municipal Codes, ordinances, and in relevant areas, such as property maintenance, abandoned vehicles, planning, zoning, signs, community nuisance, and related areas.  This is a classification in the Economic and Community Development Department.

 

CLASS CHARACTERISITICS:

The Neighborhood Preservation Inspector is the full journey-level classification.  This position requires experience in both Municipal and Zoning Codes and Regulations. Employees at this level are expected to work with property owners independently and to coordinate City resources to solve neighborhood issues.

THE POSITION

The City of Rocklin is looking for a seasoned IT professional with a passion for leading teams, driving innovation, and transforming City services through technology. The IT Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the City's strategies and ensuring alignment with the City's mission and objectives. This position will oversee and mentor a team of skilled IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture, but also actively participating in the day-to-day operational tasks and responsibilities of the team.

The IT Manager will be responsible for the following upcoming projects:

• Developing a strategic plan for the IT division to foster transparency, increase operational efficiency, improve staff satisfaction, and to bolster trust.
• Replacing the outdated document management and retention system.
• Investing in technology that supports economic development efforts.

An example of duties are:

• Manages, directs, and organizes projects, activities, and resources for the IT Division, including but not limited to networks, servers, workstations, hardware and software utilized throughout the City, IoT, mobile and telephony infrastructure, security systems, data transmission, telecommunication systems, Geographic Information Systems and full IT support for all areas in public safety.
• Assists the Director of Administrative Services or the Deputy Director of Administrative Services in developing and implementing goals, objectives, policies, and work standards for the City of Rocklin departments and procedures for IT governance, security, and administration.
• Participates in the development and administration of the division budget.
• Plans, organizes, supervises, and evaluates the activities of professional, technical and administrative staff; develops and manages the IT division staff including hiring, education, and training; reviews and evaluates job performance and effectively recommends personnel actions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Services or a closely related field;

AND

Eight (8) years of increasingly responsible infrastructure and enterprise applications management experience in an IT environment consisting of multiple platforms, large-scale applications with multiple operating systems which included a minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience.

Licenses and Certifications

• Possession of, or ability to obtain and maintain, a valid California Class C Driver License and a satisfactory driving record is required. Individuals who do not meet this requirement due to a disability will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
• Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications are highly desirable.
