Deputy District Attorneys perform professional legal services in the prosecution of a variety of criminal and/or civil matters on behalf of the District Attorney and perform other related work as assigned.

Deputy District Attorney I-II-III:

• Level I – This level is assigned to attorneys who have no previous legal experience.  Attorneys at this level work under close supervision. Applicants who have taken the California State Bar Exam this year and are waiting for results are encouraged to apply.

• Level II – This level is assigned to attorneys with at least one year of experience in the practice of law, who have demonstrated sufficient professional knowledge, judgment and skill to begin handling cases under general supervision. 

• Level III – This level is assigned to attorneys with at least four years of experience in the practice of law, who have demonstrated sufficient professional knowledge, judgement and skill to handle the most difficult and complex cases under limited supervision.

Examples of Duties: 

• Reviews and evaluates law enforcement reports and associated information and makes decisions whether to prosecute, negotiate or dismiss.      
• Appears in Superior Court for all criminally related court matters, including, pre-hearing conferences, sentencing, preliminary hearings, motions, and court and jury trials.
• Interviews witnesses and victims of criminal, domestic violence, and other offenses; reviews and evaluates physical evidence, views crime scenes; discusses cases with law enforcement; evaluates cases for settlement purposes and creates strategies for trial.
• Performs legal research regarding a variety of anticipated legal issues; provides advice to law enforcement staff regarding applicable laws, court decisions and legal authorities.
• Prepares a variety of documentation, such as jury instruction packets, motions, sentencing statements, correspondence and other materials.
• Prepares witness lists; organizes and compiles court exhibits and other evidence in preparation for court and trial and provides for legal discovery of such work.
• Prepares and presents cases to the Yuba County Grand Jury.

The City of Belmont is currently recruiting for a Building Inspector I/II (level appointed will depend on qualifications) in the Community Development Department - Permit Center. We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and customer-oriented individual who will receive direction from the Cheif Building Official.

The Building Inspector I/II performs building, plumbing, electrical and mechanical inspections for the City enforcing all applicable laws and codes; performs plan checks on residential, commercial and industrial buildings; issues building permits; and performs a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.

THE POSITION
The Manager, Quantitative Analysis and Modeling is responsible for organizing, assigning, reviewing and participating in professional duties related to analysis and modeling, structured product development, portfolio risk management, and integrated resource planning. Duties include:

• Planning, prioritizing, reviewing and participating in the performance of professional analysis and modeling of risk and value around complex transactions and portfolio positions, including structured products, rate analysis and development, and hedging strategies.
• Developing methods and schedules to accomplish assignments, ensuring work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Developing pricing and calibration models for a variety of products.

EXCITING OPPORTUNITY

The Town of San Anselmo is seeking applications for the full-time position of Senior Building Inspector in the Public Works and Building Department.  It is an exciting opportunity to work in a broad range of areas, to help shape the future of the Town.

The Department of Public Works maintains the Town’s infrastructure to support the community. With a staff of 15, the department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the following public facilities: roads, parks, buildings, parking, equipment, and vehicle fleet. THE POSITION

Typical duties of the Senior Building Inspector position include, but are not limited to:

• Make field inspections of buildings and public works permits to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable building, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical codes, statutes, and regulations of the Town, county, state and federal agencies.
• Review, approve and issue permits for construction work.

• Principles and techniques of building construction, building materials and accepted safety standards; Principles and techniques of building inspection.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret building plans and specifications; understand, interpret and apply codes, ordinances, and regulations; communicate clearly and concisely in English, both orally and in writing.
• Use windows-based computer programs such as MS Word and Excel.
• Operate a car and pickup truck safely, back vehicle a long distance, and steer through narrow roadways and hillsides.

• Three years of experience as a building inspector or related field involving inspection or code enforcement.
• Graduation from high school or equivalent to the completion of 12th grade – college training in the field of civil engineering, architecture, or building technology may be substituted for equivalent year of work experience. Associated of Arts degree preferred.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain within 3 months, a valid California driver’s license
• Possession of, or ability to obtain within 6 months, certification, through the International Code Council, as a California Residential Building Inspector- J1 and California Commercial Building Inspector- I1

Special Requirements/Physical Demands:

• On-site field inspections and office work require a moderate amount of physical agility. Intermittently walk, stand, twist, squat, kneel, climb, and bend both in the office and in the field.
• On a continuous basis, sit at a desk or stand at a counter to answer questions of the public.  Write by long hand and use a computer keyboard to communicate through written means.
• Frequently lift or carry a weight of up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• The nature of the work requires the individual to climb 30’ to 40’ ladders or scaffolding to reach high areas such as roofs, balance on narrow walkways or steep-pitched roofs, crawl through narrow openings and in confined spaces.

The Assistant Director, Operational Accounting will report directly to the Section Director, Financial Reporting and Operational Accounting, and will have management and oversight of operational areas of accounting including indirect cost allocation plan, single audit, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. The Assistant Director will prepare reports pertaining to operational accounting and will be a major contributor and advocate for operational accounting in the agency-wide ERP project.  The Assistant Director will provide oversight in the development and/or review of policies and procedures in operational accounting.

In coordination with internal stakeholders, this position will assist in development and/or review of policies and procedures and developing and evaluating the internal controls in AP, AR, and payroll.

This position will perform a variety of complex analytical, compliance, and administrative work in support of reporting functions; management of the operational accounting team and overall relationship with agency sections and program staff; coordinate with various outside agencies; analyze financial information and data; and communicate important financial information clearly to all entities. About the Department

This City’s Building Division provides oversight and assistance towards the City's growth and development in relation to construction activity on private property within the City.  The goal is to ensure the safety of buildings and to support the health and wellbeing of all persons living and working in San Jose through the implementation of the State of California’s current building codes and laws.

The Division is seeking applicants for the Associate Engineer classification within the Building Plan Review Services section. • Advising professional engineers, architects and others concerning code requirements, engineering and planning problems arising in the preliminary design of buildings and structures.
• Examining plans, calculations and specifications for residential, multi-family, commercial and industrial buildings, including complex major structures for structural adequacy and general compliance with governing laws, codes, ordinances and regulations.

Experience: Associate Engineers working in the Building Division as plan reviewers must have four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in professional Civil Engineering work such as, Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering with at least two (2) years of experience in design and construction of buildings.

Licenses: Possession of a valid State of California driver's license may be required. Other licenses or certifications may be required for positions. (Registration as a Civil Engineer or Architect with the State of California is preferred. Possession of ICC Plans Examiner certification is preferred).

Acceptable Substitution: A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in the required professional engineering or architectural discipline may be substituted for one (1) year of professional engineering or architectural experience.

Pioneer Community Energy Seeks a 
Senior Manager, Quantitative Analysis and Modeling

The Senior Manager, Quantitative Analysis and Modeling is responsible for organizing, assigning, reviewing and participating in the work of personnel engaged in professional duties related to analysis and modeling, structured product development, portfolio risk management, and integrated resource planning. Duties include:

• Planning, prioritizing, reviewing and participating in the performance of professional analysis and modeling of risk and value around complex transactions and portfolio positions, including structured products, rate analysis and development, and hedging strategies.
• Developing methods and schedules to accomplish assignments, ensuring work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Developing pricing and calibration models for a variety of products.
• Solving challenging quantitative problems related to setting rates and valuations for structured products.
• Developing Monte-Carlo simulations on a large scale across several variables with relevant coefficients. 
• Performing fast and accurate market risk measurements.
• Conducting complex market and portfolio modeling and analysis of Pioneer’s power supply position to effectively monitor exposure to adverse market changes.
• Coordinating and participating in Pioneer’s integrated resource planning process including providing analysis and input related to production cost modeling from the CPUC, CAISO, IOUs, and CalCCA.
• Creating and implementing measures to benchmark system implementations, enhancements, or modifications by providing documented system specifications, evaluating vendor proposals, and recommending appropriate course of action.
• Developing portfolio dashboard showing key metrics and risk positions.
• Using a variety of computer software programs to prepare reports, graphs and other materials related to energy resources, finance models and customer statistics. 
• Maintaining liaison with regional resource planning or supply agencies; serving on Pioneer committees as required; evaluating proposals in terms of resource costs, availability and consistency with long-term financial projections and resource needs.

Qualified candidates will possess a knowledge of California energy industry and electric power markets including CAISO, CPUC, CEC, and CARB, energy/financial markets and quantitative investment approaches, advanced computer modeling of power supply system operation and cost analysis and have the ability to perform complex professional analytical work in support of a variety of Pioneer’s product structuring and resource planning activities.

Experience:
Ten years of experience in a position with similar duties. 

Training:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Economics, or related field.
