The City of San Jose is recruiting for a part-time School Crossing Guards in the Police Department during the normal school year. Work involves providing for the safe conduct of elementary and junior high school children across heavily traveled streets and reporting problems requiring possible police action.

*Effective the first full pay periods following 1/1/2024, a 3% Cost of Living increase and up to 4% equity adjustment will be applied to the hourly wage for the Police Officer Trainee position (totaling 14% in two years).
THE POSITION:

THE POSITION:
This is a NEW program within the Marysville Fire Department. The Marysville Fire Department is hiring continuously for twelve (12) Firefighter Reserves. These positions will be funded for four (4) years through the SAFER Grant.
For each 24 hour shift worked, you will receive $60 for food and mileage, that will be paid monthly in accordance with the City of Marysville's established pay schedule.

The position of Public Safety Officer-In Training is a non-sworn, training classification while incumbents are attending the police and fire academies. Upon successful completion of the police academy, incumbents will be promoted to the sworn, training position of Public Safety Officer I. Upon successful completion of all required training, incumbents will be promoted to the sworn position of Public Safety Officer II.
