THE POSITION:

The Police Officer Trainee position is an entry level position, requiring no prior law enforcement experience. JOB DESCRIPTION

The Tiny Tots Instructor will teach assigned classes of pre-school children ranging in ages from 18 months to 5 years old in enrichment, recreational and educational based programming (Tiny Tots Aide will assist).

• Develop and instruct weekly lesson plans (i.e. art, free play, enrichment, and circle time).

Position Details

Under close supervision, maintain constant watch over a public swimming pool facility to enforce regulations and prevent accidents, assist swimmers in distress and provide emergency and routine first aid. Create a safe and positive atmosphere for all participants and perform basic facility maintenance duties.

• Actively scan the pool, deck and locker rooms for safety and potential hazards and address the situation properly to remedy it

There is potential for slip hazards when working near water and exposure to blood borne pathogens when rendering first aid. Working hours will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Supplemental Position Information:

Part-time temporary employees serve in an at-will capacity and understand that service with the City may be dismissed at any time. This position does not provide any benefits, apart from paid sick leave.
