Under general supervision, performs lifeguard duties in enforcing City public swimming pool rules and monitoring pool patron conduct; perform emergency rescue and lifesaving techniques.

City of American Canyon Parks and Recreation Department invite energetic and responsible individuals to apply for the position of Senior Recreation Leader. This position will be responsible for overseeing and leading the city programs and events. The position is also responsible for providing assistance to Program Coordinators.
This position will assist with City of Menlo Park special events during their employment. Applicant must be able to take initiative, be responsible and correct errors as needed. Good interpersonal communication skills, the ability to think critically and the flexibility to work both independently and within a group environment are required. Must be a quick learner with the ability to assess situations and make sound, independent decisions and the ability to perform complex tasks without detailed supervision.

Hourly Salary Range:
Recreation Leader I $12.00 - $14.58
Recreation Leader II $15.31 - $18.61

$22.07 – $27.74 hourly (20-25 hours per week) without benefits

The Program Coordinator - Arts will coordinate the City’s Arts and Special Events programming; including the Recreation Department’s art activities, programs and events, and supporting the Arts Commission initiatives and programs, and performs related work as required.
