The City of American Canyon is seeking individuals who will perform a wide variety of general clerical work in support of an assigned function; to provide customer service in-person and on the phone; and to provide information and assistance to staff and the public. This position will work during the day and on a part-time basis. The position is considered temporary/part-time and is limited to no more than 1,000 hours per fiscal year.
A Program Specialist will plan, prepare and instruct recreation activities. Activities may include art, cooking, dance, pre-school program and other program areas. Programs are designed for children ages 4–12 years of age. Job site placement: Brier, Grimmer, or Cabrillo Elementary.

Customer Service Attendant / Softball Scorekeeper
The City of Cupertino Recreation and Community Services Department has a seasonal employment opportunity for softball scorekeepers for adult softball leagues held at Memorial Park.
POSITION: Customer Service Attendant I (Part-Time, Non-Benefited, maximum 995 hours per fiscal year)
WORK HOURS: 5 to 20 hours per week, weekday evenings 5:00 pm to 10:15 pm
SALARY RANGE: $14.00 - $16.00
Under supervision of the Recreation Coordinator, the Preschool Teacher I/II, to varying degrees of responsibility, will plan and implement, schedule, organize, and direct the City’s Tiny Tot Preschool program for children ages 3-5 years old, assuring policies and procedures are maintained, and performing related work as required. Tiny Tots Preschool runs from mid-August through mid-June, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; this position will work on an as-needed basis.
The Scorekeeper maintains the score and operates the scoreboard during adult softball and basketball games.
The City’s Parks and Community Services Department is looking for dependable, personable self-starters to serve as Scorekeepers for the City’s Adult Softball Leagues (Fallon Sports Park) and Adult Basketball Leagues (Stager Community Gymnasium). This position reports to a Recreation Supervisor. Typical duties include: scorekeeping, operating a scoreboard, ensuring facilities are properly set up for leagues, cleaning up after events; and reporting results.
The Milpitas Recreations and Community Services Department is seeking a student intern to assist with community special events.
Job duties will consist, but are not limited to some of the following: contact vendors, setting up special events, working on holidays and weekends and more.
The hours will be 25 hours per week from July 2018 through June 2019.
