THE POSITION

Reporting to the Director of Administrative Services, the Management Analyst (Risk Management) provides professional support to risk management programs including: workers' compensation, safety compliance, review and approval of contracts and Certificates of Insurance, risk transfer, and leave and disability administration. 

In addition, you will have the opportunity to coordinate and oversee workers' compensation claims management including monitoring accepted claims and providing information to claimants, attorneys, and the workers' compensation carrier. You will also serve as a consultant to City departments and employees on Risk Management (workers' compensation, safety, contract insurance) problems and communicate regularly with internal and external parties to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of assigned programs and activities, minimize risk, and advise of claim developments. This position will also support the City's leave management program.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

One (1) year of experience at a level equivalent to the City’s class of Associate Management Analyst or Administrative Analyst.

When assigned to a specific functional area as noted above, additional knowledge and experience in such area may be desirable.

Public sector experience is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Possession of, or ability to obtain and maintain, a valid California Class C Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record is required. Individuals who do not meet this requirement due to a disability will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

The City of San Mateo Public Works Department is seeking an Assistant/Associate Engineer for Capital Improvement or Private Development assignments. What You’ll Do:

The Assistant/Associate Engineer will help support efforts to accomplish short and long-term project deliveries, while sustaining the City’s mission, vision, and goals.  The position is considered for either of the following fields of interest:

• The Development Section’s key assignments include reviewing development plans, technical studies/reports, maps, encroachment permits, building permits and being able to guide an applicant through the entitlement process regarding public impact and infrastructure. The role includes an emphasis on coordination among project stakeholders and various City review groups.
• The Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) Section’s key assignments include planning, designing, reviewing, and preparing detailed engineering plans, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, contracts, and related documents for a variety of capital improvement projects. Roles include project manager and construction manager, with duties that include leading coordination meetings, interfacing with construction contractors, outside engineering firms, construction inspectors, and other public agencies.

Streets & Construction Worker I:

This is an entry-level class under close supervision, performs any combination of the following duties on construction projects, usually working in utility capacity, by transferring from one task to another where demands require worker with varied experience and ability.  Work is usually performed with other workers.  This class may advance to Streets & Construction Worker II after gaining experience and demonstrating proficiency to meet the qualification of the higher-level class.

Prerequisites:   Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school (or G.E.D equivalent to graduation) and two years’ experience performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled construction and/or maintenance involving buildings, grounds, streets and sidewalks.

Water System Worker III (Lead Position)

($25.51- $32.66 per hour)

The City of Chowchilla is seeking a Water System Worker III to assist in the operation and maintenance of the City’s water distribution system, including pumps, mains, chlorinators, meters, and other equipment; and do related work as required on an assigned shift, under general supervision of the Utilities Systems Supervisor and/or Director of Public Works.

The City of Chowchilla is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator II for the operation and maintenance of the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant.  The Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator II is a journey-level class in the Wastewater Plant Operator series which normally works under general supervision performing a group of related duties according to established procedures.  This position reports to the Utility Systems or Wastewater System Supervisor and does not supervise.

The City of Dixon Fire Department  offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for qualified applicants holding a career in fire safety and is recruiting to fill vacancies of full-time appointments for the position of Lateral Firefighter/Paramedic. 

To be considered eligible for Lateral Firefighter/Paramedic you must meet the following criteria:

• A minimum of 12 months of current and continuous experience as a full time/career firefighter with no separation time or break in service at time of application.
• Possess a current, valid Cal-JAC CPAT Card issued withing the last 12 months from date of application submission and ability to pass City of Dixon's aerial ladder agility test.
