Tri-City is currently hiring to fill one full time vacancy for an Office Specialist. The Office Specialist position provides difficult, complex, and specialized administrative support to assigned departmental projects and programs; develops, summarizes, and maintains administrative and financial records; types, edits, processes, distributes, and files a variety of documents; enters data and information into various databases and computer systems; and performs related duties as assigned.

This position will perform the following essential duties, including, but not limited to:

• Types, formats, edits, revises, proofreads, tracks, and prints a variety of narrative, statistical, and technical documents, reports, correspondence, spreadsheets, and other documents and materials.

• Inputs, updates, tracks, and extracts information into appropriate databases and billing systems; searches records and files for data.

DEFINITION: Under general supervision, performs lifeguard duties, enforces all rules and regulations pertaining to the safety and well-being of visitors and patrons. Perform related work as required, may include light cleaning and janitorial.

• Active scanning and patron surveillance, practice preventive Lifeguarding.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and react quickly to emergencies.

The position description:

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is looking for to fill multiple vacancies for the Bilingual Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) for the Adult Services Department. The BHS will be performing central scheduling duties and provide behavioral health support services to individuals as a part of these departments. The BHS will provide support to the team assisting with duties related to network adequacy, data tracking,  processing service requests, screenings, and linkage to mental health services. The BHS will report to their direct supervisor.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Provides individual, group, family, and collateral rehabilitative support services to facilitate behavior modification including skill building, needs assessment, self-care/safety, and coping strategies and techniques; may provide case management services in the office and in the field.

• Develops, monitors, and evaluates client rehabilitative and case management goals and increases/decreases in targeted behavior according to client needs; monitors goal progress/regression.

• Provides linkages, resources, and referrals to address basic needs and other barriers to wellness and recovery including food, housing, clothing, transportation, and other financial resources.

• Encourages and supports clients to fully engage in services; provides outreach and assists clients in addressing and overcoming barriers to treatment.

• Plans and facilitates and/or co-facilitates group sessions for clients and community members focused on skill building; tracks client attendance and follows-up with individual clients, as necessary.

• Provides advocacy for clients to ensure inclusion in all aspects of the community including socialization, employment, education, and housing to meet client needs.

Behavioral Health Clinician I:
Behavioral Health Clinicians at this level provide a variety of community behavioral health services to clients and to the community in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include conducting assessments; performing case coordination, care management, and rehabilitative services; providing diagnosis and treatment plans; providing psychotherapy; providing linkage to resources and support to maintain resources; and preparing reports, case summaries, and other required forms.

Behavioral Health Clinician II:
At this level, Behavioral Health Clinicians handle more complex or difficult client cases. In addition to the responsibilities of a Behavioral Health Clinician I, incumbents at this level may lead teams conducting intake assessments and crisis intervention. 

Required Qualifications

Both positions require a master's degree from a recognized school of Social Work, Counseling, Psychiatric Nursing, or other Marriage and Family Therapy eligible discipline, or a doctorate degree in Psychology. 

Behavioral Health Clinician I:

Field placement of at least one (1) year in a medical, psychiatric, or community mental health setting

AND

Registration as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), and/or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) with the State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) OR a Registered Psychologist with the Board of Psychology. 

Behavioral Health Clinician II: 

Two (2) years of experience in an out-patient clinic, hospital, child guidance clinic, mental health program, or family agency which included regular psychiatric consultation

San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) is seeking a well-qualified individual for the position of Psychologist I/II-Behavioral Health and Recovery Services. 

There is currently one vacancy on the Central County Adult Mental Health Clinic team in San Mateo.

 

In this position, the psychologist will work as part of a dynamic, multicultural and multidisciplinary team, supporting our culturally diverse San Mateo residents who are diagnosed with a Serious Mental Illnesses and Co-Occurring Disorders.

This Psychologist will conduct admission assessments and evaluation, provide individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, and rehabilitation services to a caseload of adults diagnosed with a serious mental illness.  The Psychologist will also support the psychology doctoral student program and the MSW/MFT graduated internship program at the clinic and provide students with supervision and provide clinical consultation. The Psychologist will work with the team in appropriate discharge planning and coordination of care with other community based organizations.
 
In this position, the psychologist will also administer psychological testing to a small number of clients referred from other BHRS Adult outpatient clinics.

Psychologist I is the entry level class in the Psychologist series, providing professional psychological diagnostic and therapeutic services in a county program. Work is generally of a routine nature requiring more direct supervision for the more complex cases. This class is flexibly staffed with Psychologist II and incumbents are expected to advance to the higher level after gaining experience and demonstrating the required proficiency.
 
Psychologist II is the fully experienced journey level class in the Psychologist series providing a full range of professional psychodiagnostic, psychotherapeutic, consultant and training and research work in a comprehensive community mental health program with a high degree of skill and independence.

The City of San Bruno is currently accepting applications for Public Safety Dispatcher, Per Diem candidates. 

The Position 

The San Bruno Police Department is recruiting for Public Safety Dispatchers. The San Bruno Police Department has a long-standing tradition of small-town service with big-city dedication to public safety.  Public Safety Dispatchers are responsible for public safety dispatch and related records management activities. This position operates on a 24-hour, 365 days per year basis, and may be assigned to either a day, swing, or graveyard shift on a regular, rotational basis that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.  Public Safety Dispatchers perform a wide range of duties involving radio, telephone, and computers, applying various procedures and codes. Dispatchers receive and transmit emergency and non-emergency telephone and radio traffic as well as process communication reports, records, and radio logs, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.  Dispatchers may also support the Police Department by performing clerical tasks, training, assisting with fingerprinting, and being accountable for financial transactions.  This position is integral in supporting the goals and objectives of the City and Police Department.   

Essential Duties 

• Receives and transmits emergency telephone and radio traffic.   

• Maintains and processes a variety of communications reports, records and radio logs. 

• Operates a dispatch console, uses Computer Aided Dispatch (C.A.D.) System and other computer programs to process information and records. 

• Maintains a high level of confidentiality. 

• Performs collateral duties including a variety of related clerical tasks: assisting in preparation of work schedules; training and evaluating performance of new employees; conducting training sessions; assisting in fingerprinting and jail operations, which may include searching prisoners; and is accountable for handling cash, bond, and check transactions.  

• Plans, organizes, and directs dispatching and related activities on an assigned shift. This may include preparing schedules and prioritizing work; observing work performed by Dispatcher I employees to ensure compliance with standards; approving time off; conducting employee evaluations; and providing effective recommendations on personnel matters. 

• Prepares and maintains training and procedure manuals.  As required, prepares special reports, and undertakes projects for Management Staff.  

• May act as Records/Dispatcher Supervisor in their absence. 

• Maintains liaison with other Department Divisions, City Departments, and other law enforcement and emergency response agencies. 

• Maintains various C.A.D and Record Management Files. 

• Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
