The City of Fremont is seeking two Building Inspector Specialists, one with a specialty in electrical and one with a specialty in plumbing. These are critical positions in the Building and Safety Division of the Community Development Department. As a Building Inspector Specialist you will perform inspections of both new projects and additions and alterations to existing residential, commercial and industrial buildings, and provide technical expertise and training in your assigned functional area.
Under immediate, then as proficiency increases, general supervision of a Field Training Officer, Police Officer or higher ranking official, incumbents in this classification perform and document varied law enforcement assignments through working assigned shifts in patrol or on specialty assignments and participating in training; perform related work as required.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The City of Albany is currently recruiting for Part-Time Building Attendants with our Recreation & Community Services Department. Building Attendants typically work between 8 and 15 hours per week. The shift is usually 1 to 2 nights per week, including weekends, for approximately 5 to 6 hours per shift. There may also be opportunities to work special events that will require work on weekdays and weekends. Work schedules vary based on department needs and are subject to change on a weekly basis.
