The Department
The Public Works Department plays a key role in shaping the community and its future as Fremont. Public Works is responsible for engineering, transportation, civic facilities, inspections, and maintenance for the City. The Engineering Division within Public Works helps deliver land development projects, executes the design and construction of public projects, and maintains and enhances the City’s transportation network.

The City of Berkeley is seeking PE-licensed candidates who are passionate about improving infrastructure for a more sustainable and resilient city. As an Associate Civil Engineer, you will function as a project leader for Capital Projects with an emphasis on engineering design.
