The City of Menlo Park is currently accepting applications for Menlo's Children's Center and Belle Haven Child Development Center. This position is part-time and provides a flexible work schedule. We are looking for multiple candidates that enjoy teaching & working with preschool and school aged children. This position is Monday through Friday.
Essential job Functions
The job functions of a Recreation Leader include: planning activities for children; supervising, instructing, and interacting with specific age groups; working within a teaching team to create a play based environment for children; maintaining safety and cleanliness throughout the facility.
The ideal candidate would possess quality customer service skills, positive energy, passion to work with children, and a strong work ethic. Also, they must be able to instruct preschool and school aged children with a motivating and passionate attitude. Candidate must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects, including children, up to 30 pounds.
- Minimum of 18 years old
- Previous work experience is a plus but not required
The City of Menlo Park provides annual training for staff including CPR/First Aid.
This is a non-benefited temporary position. A temporary employee may not work more than 1000 hours per year and will receive sick leave in accordance with State Law.
