Lifeguard I (Part-Time) 

 

The City of Pacifica is seeking enthusiastic and energetic individuals committed to providing excellent customer service and enjoys interacting with people of all ages to join our team in the Aquatics Division.

Lifeguard I’s patrol and oversee the activities in and around the community swimming pool, enforce regulations To prevent accidents, rescue swimmers in distress, provide first aid and respond to emergencies.

Candidate needs to be available to work at least 3 varied shifts during the week and weekend.

Education and Experience – Graduation from high school or GED equivalent is desirable, college is highly desirable. This provision may be waived for applicants 15-17 years of age with ability to obtain a valid work permit. Previous experience as a lifeguard is desired but not required.

Ideal Candidate

Will be at least 17 years of age and have a current lifeguard certification, have worked for an agency or company for two years or more and or has some college. Candidate is flexible, self-motivated, attentive, and enjoys working with public. All shifts available, including: early morning, daytime, evening and weekends.

Benefits

This is a part-time position with paid sick leave. There are no other benefits available with this position.
