$13.00 to $15.80 per hour

The City of San Bruno Community Services Department is hiring a part-time, temporary Facility Attendant for the San Bruno Senior Center.

Hours:

Thursday through Sunday, afternoons to late evenings - hours will vary (20-25 hours a week depending on the rentals and activities at the Senior Center). 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee proper use and activity of all San Bruno Senior Center facility rentals, ensure compliance of established rules and procedures for the use of the facility, complete room set-ups/break downs (tables and chairs), light custodial, customer service, answer telephones, responsible for building, lock and unlock doors and secure building, supervise and assist all persons renting and/or using facility, assist with the preparation of special City events, attend staff meetings, perform other duties as assigned.

This position will also require some money handling; accepting payments for rental deposits and fees, events, and activities whether in cash, check or credit card form, enters transactions into register/cash box, issues receipts, refunds, and makes change.

Experience working with the public and great customer service skills are ideal.

This is a part-time, temporary position and does not provide any benefits, with the exception of paid sick leave. In accordance with the Healthy Workplaces, Healthy Families Act of 2014, all temporary, part-time, and seasonal employees accrue one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, and are entitled to use accrued sick days beginning on the 90th day of employment. Employees may use up to 24 hours (or 3 days) of accrued sick leave in each year of employment.
