Description

The Department of Finance has one vacant Senior Analyst position, in the Administration Division. The Senior Analyst position in the fiscal management section of Administration includes one direct report (analyst) and one indirect report (senior account clerk). Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • High level of fiscal coordination with other City departments and other divisions within the Finance Department.
     
  • Benchmarking of performance measures and fiscal and accounting activities of the Department's expenditures.
     
  • Managing the development and monitoring of the Department's budget of $18.million and citywide budget totaling $31.4 million.
     
  • Preparing reports and memos.
     
  • Drafting and monitoring consultant contracts.
     
  • Managing the development, distribution, and review of Request for Proposals for the Finance Department.
     
  • Providing assistance to areas throughout the Department, especially related to special projects
     
  • Supervising an Analyst and Senior Account Clerk position.

 

Senior Analyst Salary Range: $88,088.00-$107,328.00.

 

The actual salary shall be determined by the final candidate’s qualifications and experience.  In addition to the starting salary, employees in the Senior Analyst classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay.

Ideal Candidate

Education:  A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.

 

Experience:  Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in general management/administrative analytic work in the areas of budget, finance, grant administration, organizational analysis, general administration, human resources, or related field in general analytical work.

 

Acceptable Substitution

 

One (1) year of additional education above the Bachelor’s Degree level may be substituted for one (1) year of the required management/administrative analytic work.

Selection Process:
