These are temporary part-time non-benefited positions.
Pool Lifeguard: Under supervision, performs, observes and ensures the safety of participants in recreational and organized swimming activities; maintains a safe aquatic environment and assists with daily activities and operations of the program; communicates pool rules; assist instructors with class preparation, inventory, cleaning of equipment and registration as needed and performs related duties as required.
Knowledge of: aquatic environment and related water safety issues including effective lifesaving techniques; basic swimming strokes including butterfly, breaststroke, free style & backstroke.
Ability to: establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff and program participants; perform lifesaving techniques; effectively perform swimming strokes; successfully complete the American Red Cross Pool Lifeguard training, prior to first day of employment.
Experience: Previous related experience is highly desirable.
