Position Description

The Sonoma County Library is seeking candidates for the full-time position of Chief Financial Officer. This recruitment will fill one (1) vacancy and create an eligible list. Regional Government Services and its staff is conducting this recruitment on behalf of the Sonoma County Library.

Supplemental Information

Benefits:

  • Salary: $109,990.40 – $137,363.20 (COLA increase of 3% on 1/2020 and 1/2021).
  • Retirement: CalPERS, Classic - 2 % @ 55 and PEPRA - 2% @ 62.
  • Retirement Health Reimbursement Account: For employees hired after 2013.
  • Social Security: Library does not participate.
  • Deferred Compensation 457(b): Employee choice of two different pre-tax savings plans: No Library match. Roth 457:Choice of two plans.
  • Health Insurance: CalPERS medical coverage, 20% paid by employee, cost benchmarked to Kaiser Plan HMO. Dental and vision care insurance fully paid.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts: 100% Employee paid. Renew each year up to IRS limits, may carry over balance of $500 to next calendar year.
  • Disability Insurance: Long-term disability insurance (100% Library paid), and short-term disability (SDI) insurance through the EDD (paid by employee).
  • Life/AD&D Insurance: 100% Library paid; coverage is equivalent to two times annual salary (up to $300,000).
  • Management Leave: 40 hours each fiscal year; may roll over.
  • Vacation: 22 days after the first year, increases upon years of service.
  • Holidays: 11 full days, two ½ days annually, + one personal floating holiday.
  • Sick Leave: Twelve days per year, with unlimited accumulation.
  • Technology Allowance: Company cell phone and laptop provided to employee by Library for use during employment.
  • Staff Development: $675 annually with 50% annual rollover ($200 of which may be used towards wellness).
  • Relocation Allowance: May be available.
