Tri-City is looking for one (1) special individual to serve as its Clinical Therapist I/II for the Adult Officer of the Day (OD) program. The Clinical Therapist I/II will appeal to individuals who are inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community. The Clinical Therapist will report to the Program Manager.
This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Will meet with individuals in person or talk to them over the phone to conduct screenings to ensure individuals meet specialty mental health services;
- Will assist individuals to link to various resources (i.e., managed care plan, Tri-City programs such as the Wellness Center, TCG, Peer Mentors, etc.) and provide warm-handoffs;
- Will complete same day biopsychosocial assessments and treatment plans;
- Will formulate a differential diagnosis concerning the nature of the mental health challenge(s);
- Maintain records of all activities relating to clients’ care and must adhere to Agency and service billing requirements;
- Work on a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and ensure Network Adequacy for the Adult Program;
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and must have excellent attendance & other duties as assigned, etc.
Clinical Therapist I: Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) or Social Work (MSW) and California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) or California Board of Psychology registration as either an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT) or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW).
Clinical Therapist II: Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) or Social Work (MSW) and California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) or California Board of Psychology licensure as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
REQUIRED: Licensed or clinical hours must be complete; bilingual in Spanish. Must have & maintain a valid Class C California Driver’s License.
The preferred candidate will have three (3) years or more of clinical community mental health experience with the adult and/or older adult population; experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge, abilities and skills may be considered as qualifying. The Department will determine level of hire (CT I or CT II) at conditional offer of employment. *Candidates may be hired above the minimum salary range depending on qualifications (DOQ).
FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS:
Merit Salary Increases: Annually based on performance, budget availability and supervisor approval.
CalPERS Pension: 2% @ 55 for Classic Members and 2% @ 62 for PEPRA Members; employee contributes 7% for Classic and 6.25% for PEPRA. No Social Security.
Vacation: 80 hours per year, increasing with years of service with a maximum of 240 hours; cash out option available.
Sick Leave: Full-Time employees = 88 hours per year with no cap.
Holidays: 10 paid holidays per calendar year plus an additional 16 hours of Floating Holidays.
Flexible Work Schedule: 9/80 or 4/10, where applicable and approved by supervisor. **
Health Insurance: Medical (Kaiser HMO), dental (MetLife PPO) and vision coverage (EyeMed) of which 80% is paid by Tri-City Mental Health Services (TCMHS).
Life Insurance: Paid at one times annual salary, paid by Tri-City MHS with additional optional coverage available.
Deferred Compensation (457b): Available to interested employees; no employer match.
