Tri-City is looking for one (1) special individual to serve as a Clinical Therapist I for the Adult Full Service Partnership (FSP) Program. This position is a field based, bilingual position which requires the incumbent to meet with clients at their home, in the field, at the shelter, etc. The Clinical Therapist I will appeal to individuals who are inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community with moderate to severe behavioral health clients. The Clinical Therapist will report to a Program Supervisor.
This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Will initiate and conduct individual, family and group counseling/psychotherapy sessions;
- Provide crisis intervention to mentally ill/emotionally disabled individuals, groups and families;
- Provide case management services on or offsite;
- Meet with clients for regular therapeutic interviews, guide clients in understanding of their illness and contributing personal, social and economic factors;
- Assist clients in developing realistic plans and advice clients on community resources;
- Maintain records of all activities relating to clients’ care and must adhere to Agency and service billing requirements, etc.
- Work on a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and other duties as assigned, etc.
Clinical Therapist I: Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), Social Work (MSW), Counseling and/or Psychology and California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) registration as either an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT) or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW).
Must be bilingual in Spanish, proficient in Microsoft WORD, and have Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Welligent experience.
PREFERRED: 1-3 years’ experience in the mental health environment, experience with the adult population with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge, abilities and skills may be considered as qualifying. *Candidates may be hired above the minimum salary range depending on qualifications (DOQ).
FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS:
Merit Salary Increases: Annually based on performance, budget availability and supervisor approval.
CalPERS Pension: 2% @ 55 for Classic Members and 2% @ 62 for PEPRA Members; employee contributes 7% for Classic and 6.75% for PEPRA. No Social Security.
Vacation: 80 hours per year, increasing with years of service with a maximum of 240 hours; cash out option available.
Sick Leave: Full-Time employees = 88 hours per year with no cap.
Holidays: 10 paid holidays per calendar year plus an additional 16 hours of Floating Holidays.
Flexible Work Schedule: 9/80 or 4/10, where applicable and approved by supervisor. **
Health Insurance: Medical (Kaiser HMO), dental (MetLife PPO) and vision coverage (EyeMed) of which 80% is paid by Tri-City Mental Health Services (TCMHS).
Life Insurance: Paid at one times annual salary, paid by Tri-City MHS with additional optional coverage available.
Deferred Compensation (457b): Available to interested employees; no employer match.
