This required supplemental questionnaire is an integral part of the selection process. Your answers to these questions will be thoroughly evaluated in order to determine the most suitably qualified applicants to continue in the selection process. 1. Please describe any relevant previous experience, education and/or knowledge you have concerning animal care and animal shelter operations.

2. Please describe any volunteer work you have performed and/or any experience you have working with personnel from volunteer organizations.

3. Animals Services is a division of the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department. Please describe any previous work experience or programs you have participated in with a law enforcement agency.

4. Inmates from the Yuba County Jail that receive a probationary release through SWAT “Sheriff Worker Alternative Program,” are assigned and required to report to the Animal Services facility as a parolee. These parolee’s wear a monitoring device at all times and may be returned to custody if the conditions of their probationary release are not met. Are you willing to work in an environment with this type of program?

5. The Animal Care Technician must clean and disinfect animal cages and other areas of the shelter of all animal waste including feces. What are some types of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that would be utilized when performing this duty?

An essential duty of this position is to assist in humane and prescribed methods of euthanasia and the disposal of animals (handle animal carcasses), in accordance with established policies and California laws. Are you able to perform the essential duty of assisting with the humane euthanasia of animals?
